LORDS: DP: MoN, lvl 4, OTS, dragonbane gem, charmed shield, chaos armour, scaled skin, flying, flaming breath, soul feeder BSB: the unkillable one Sorc: MoN, lvl 1 , dispel scroll, familiar RARE: 3 SC: musician, gleaming pennant SPECIAL: 2 GB Chariots: MoN Chimera: flaming + regen CORE: 4 x 5 warhounds + vanguard Chariot: MoK 5 Horsemen: MoS, musician, axes, flails 14 Warriors: MoT, shields, FC, Standard of Discipline This list is the latest result of a list-adaptation-frenzy after having played 5 test games with my original one. The first list did not include a regular sorcerer nor the horsemen. It had 3 DO instead (purely because I really like the models ^^). But my DO were not that good (big surprise I know) so I took them out. I made a list with the Hellcannon in it, because it can cause some real damage against horde armies or big units (thinking of DE Execs), but it really is a hit or miss thing so not that reliable. Another problem is the DP. It is a strong model but it only has a 5++, and lots of things out there negate AS, making it an expensive but rather killable model. However I do think it is the most viable Lord slot out there. So, as I read elsewhere on the forum, having access to the entire Lore of Nurgle might be the answer to that one. In one of my games, I threw a nice Curse of the Leper. My opponent hesitated a long time before dispelling it. And that made the rest of my magic phase all the more deadly. With a lvl 1 (+familiar) and lvl 4 Nurgle wizard, I’m practically guaranteed of having Curse of the Leper. Personally, I like Death better (took out a VC necro in the 1st turn with Laniph ^^) but it has a rather limited range and Nurgle is the better choice to protect the DP. As said before, I took in a unit of horsemen. Horsemen are great war machine/small unit/fleeing unit hunters and offer another tactical possibility. I hesitated a long time including them, but finally did. Further testing will prove if they stay or go. They can also pull enemy units out of formation for my waiting chariots. There is however one issue left, the warriors. Up until now, they have been rather useless. They are too slow to keep up with the rest and only arrive in the 3rd turn, when the rest of the army is already engaged. It does give you the possibility to direct them where they are needed. But since they are rather expensive, I would like them to fulfill a more active roll. I was thinking about MoK + Banner of Swiftness but I don’t know how to incorporate that in the list. And that is where you guys come in ^^ I have 23 points left with the setup as it is. So I would like you to come up with some ideas as to how I could solve this puzzle ^_^ Cheers! |

Drop two units of dogs and you can afford to make the changes you want to the warriors. Maybe you only have to drop one. I'd probably drop two and make the SC four strong. In the latest version of my list (similar to yours as it happens) I have come to like my marauder horse. I'm deploying them behind my lines, and using their fast cav abilities to pop out and be a redirector when needed. |

Thanks for your reply :) Like you said, I dropped two unit hounds, making the Warrior unit 18 strong, with MoK, shields, halberds, musician + sb with the banner of swiftness. That makes for 24 WS5 S5 attacks. Should be enough to do some damage :) I'll see how it does in my next battle (vs DW). It might be that I use a slightly different list, without the lvl 1 sorcerer and the core chariot but with an extra unit of horsemen and a 4th SC. Thanks again for your input :) |

scroll+familiar together are illegal Sc need to have Ensc. weapons/lance (maybe they have but you didn't write it) drop one unit of hounds, maybe axes and flails on marauders and add some warriors |
