So, I have an army being developed right now (planning on putting it in the army diary section as soon as I get around to it :-p ) Right now, I am working on my Chaos Knights, which I have mounted on Cold Ones from the Dark Elf range. My question to the wisdom of the board is this: How would you paint a Cold One in a Chaos scheme. The fluff behind this particular unit is that it is a unit of knights that ride beasts from Lustria that have been twisted by the Ruinous Powers (I'm debating on kitbashing the knights with some lizardmen cold one rider bits as well, but haven't decided yet) So anyway, Chaos Cold Ones? How should I paint them? Posted Image |

This was one of Destandor's Dragon Ogres (check out his blog in the Army Diaries section), and I thought the color scheme worked beautifully. I think those Cold One Chaos Knights are going to look awesome when finished. |

Thats actually looks like it was meant to be! My suggestion for a colour scheme, take a page out of the chaos lord on demonic steed mixed in with the glowing eyes from the manfred von carstein model. |

What power are they dedicated to, and what is the overall colour scheme of the army. |

What scheme do you mean, Bearer? You mean from the GW website? They are being made to run with my custom hero that is on a carnosaur. He is dedicated to all 4 (he gets bonuses from all of them, but not as great as an Everchosen). So, since he is on a carnosaur that I'm ruling as a special daemonic steed, I wanted him to have Look Out, Sir!, so I made a rule for him that if he joins a unit of unmarked knights, he gets one. The army itself is a mix of various types, but the Knight unit is supposed to be unaligned. I don't have the hero painted yet that they are following, but his mount is done: Posted Image |

I like youre idea.. Maybe by the "chaos special customising kit" aka. chaos spawn kit, and use some of the parts from there to make the cold ones more chaos ish? |
