Remember these guys? Anyone have models for them? I finally got to use the 15 I converted for the first time today in a friendly game, they were pretty good. I kind of wish they'd stayed in the book, like the hellcannon did.

haha I actually saw this post and said to myself "Haven't heard of these guys in a while.."

I wish they were still there too, but I guess they were meant to die. Did you use the same rules as the SOC book? Did it still work well in 8th?

Used the exact rule except I assumed they had Will of Chaos and Eye of the Gods, as every single unit/unit champion has those. They murdered a WLC turn two, but then I tried to use killing blow to get the champion in a challenge with a grey seer and kill him, but didn't realize he could simply run to the top of his bell, never having faced a bell before. Then they killed a few clanrats and died. Basically they were exactly what they were supposed to be. I used a unit of 8 with a wallcreeper, but I'll probably stick to five and have one on each flank in future, if I ever get to play them again.

I thought that it was assumed Forsaken were just a unit entry that allowed people to still use their nicely converted and painted Flayerkin?

If they're gonna have a unit for flayerkin, why the hell would they make up a new one rather than the awesomeness that was flayerkin. Seriously. They were amazing.

Never heard of Flayerkin. What were they like? Anyone got a link to old rules for them?

Skirmishing scouts with killing blow and AHW. Fluffwise they were Marauders mutated with Skaven, with their hands chopped off and replaced with blades and chains fused to their spines. They had bonus's for attacking walls and fences and if some of them scaled a wall, others could follow because of the chains. I fell in love with them as soon as I read their rules.

Flayerkin 14 points/model (unit size 5-20)

M = 4
WS = 4
BS = 3
S = 4
T = 3
W = 1
I = 4
A = 1
Ld = 7

Special rules: scouts, killing blow, skirmishers, human chains (as described in the previous post)

Weapons: two hand weapons

For 14 points one flayerkin could be upgraded to a wallcreeper that has an additional attack and leadership of 8

That's the scariest frickin' thing I've ever heard of...but wouldn't that be a cool expansion, a book with oddball chaos stuff like this? :D

We should petition GW for the return of Flayerkin in our next book.
