Going to start my Chaos dragon project soon but was questioning what base size is proper. Are our stats comparable to the zombie dragon stats? If so I guess I could use that base size wich would be nice as it can accomodate a more scenic base. I look forward to your comments. |

I would use the base it comes with myself. Any bigger is putting yourself at a disadvantage and any smaller is cheating but there doesnt seem to be a set base size for dragons. I still wonder how they put galrauch on that tiny base and every other dragons base is atleast 2xs larger

The dragon did not come with a base as it is not a GW model. |

Minimum 50x50, but a chariot base would be better as that is the size the HE dragon comes on. |

Thanks, that is what I thought. The chariot base will give me the extra room I need for some scenic materials. |

Yeah I'd say Chariot base. Wouldn't do a whole ton of basing stuff if GW puts out an official model, as you'd have to rebase it if it was for example on an Arachnarok base. :o Theo |

I use the Arachnarok size base, since that's what came with the zombie dragon, which was the base for my conversion. |

Damn, now I am thinking of going back to the zombie dragon base size. I guess I can just make my dragon removable so if the chaos dragon base size changes I can just swap it out. |

Honestly, rank and file attacks aren't a big worry for a Chaos lord, most of the time, especially since you'll hopefully be flanking. Speaking of flanking, one advantage of a bigger base is a bigger LoS. Just sayin. |
