MoT? In a Khorne army? Heresy.

Traditional logic states your BSB should be defensively minded. That said, aggressive, killy BSB's will catch people off guard. I wouldn't go for the zerker sword, though, there's better options. Axe of Khorne is pretty nice, but personally I'd go for the rending sword, AHW, with the other tricksters shard. 6 WS7 S5 attacks re-rolling to wound and requiring the opponent to take their ward save twice should be nice, especially since you aren't basically forfeiting your parry save because you don't have one anyways! Stick him on foot in a unit of warriors at the center of your battle line.
My chosen and warshrine has MoT... I fluff it out by claiming khorne is warding them from harm as they are already killy enough lol.

Id prefer an offensive BSB because rerolling break tests aren't high on priority list, id rather not lose combat.

I thought you couldn't get an extra attack from an add. Hw if your using a magic weapon.

Pretty sure you can, though I may be wrong. I'm not 100% accurate on rules, but I don't ever remember reading that.

It's kinda sad that MoT is such a no brainer of a good choice that even mono god lists that are forsaking magic use it.

Personally, I would drop the chosen, just sayin. Chosenstars are good, but they get old, fast, and the army you're making here is very fluffy and the kind of army an opponent will enjoy playing against simply because it's different. Throwing the standard MoT chosenstar + shrine in there kinda kills the effect, and any goodwill that comes with such.

In my eyes, theme is not bendable like that. If you have a single thing without MoK in the army it's not a Mono-Khorne army. (Not counting things wich can't have it like Dragon Ogres etc.) :)

Run whatever you want in your army and enjoy yourself.

Also, you can't use both a Magic Weapon and an additional HW.

Mind pointing me to where in the rules it says that? I don't doubt you, but I'd like to see it, and any other applicable rules.

Nevermind, found it. Thanks for pointing that out, I had no idea, lol. Pretty much always best to give them a shield, then, eh? Not much else they can use that other hand for, if anything.

You can claim my army is not a khorne army if you want simply due to the fact that I have a MoT unit. In my opinion, the rules and the fluff are separate...

My Chosen do not have MoT, they paid 20 points to all have collar of khorne, which grants the entire unit +1 to their ward save. These are the chosen of khorne, they are destined for greatness, and khorne protects them.

I love the chosen lore and models, so much. I love everything about chosen, that's why I took them, I want them to have a 3+ ward and great weapons because 1) I know the 20 of them will attract a lot of powerful attacks. 2) I need something in my army with s6. 3)I like the models and don't want to take them off the board :P

I get it, its a deathstar unit, its cheesey, its overrated.... but there's nothing else id rather take except for chariots or more knights (already have 10).

The only thing I would replace my chosen/warshrine with would be a chariot and maybe 2 dragon ogre shaggoths modeled as bloodthirsters.

I could give them halberds and MoK and remove the shrine... they'd be just like my warriors but a little better.

I have a 2500 list in the armylist section, if you want to give me advice there id appreciate it... as this isn't really the place to talk about anything that isn't a lord of hero.

I hear you though, theonehawk, I will check my book and mess with things to make it more fluffy.

And that's perfectly fine, but it's not ruleswise a mono-Khorne army. To me the rules represent the fluff, and the answer to any rules debate is "What makes most sense?". :)

I never said that he had to use a wizard. If you want to play a fluffy Khornite army, then by all means, do so. I'm just saying, it's going to be rough if you go up against a lvl4 and even more so if there are support casters. Again, that will all depend on the size of the game you are playing. I myself have never used anything more than a lvl 2. But, the group I play w/ is (and I can't take the credit for the term) a "beer and pretzel" style group. We're just there to have a good time playing our little game w/ our little toy soldiers. :P But if you go into a more competative environment, yeah, be prepared for some serious ouch time. Though, your opponent could have his lvl 4 blow himself up 1st turn. That's always a good time. :D
