Is the Pigeon Plucker Pendant HElf specific or available in the BRB? If its available its the perfect cure tot he BT as its a 2+ ward against flyers. Something to bear in mind if you are intending to run him on a Disc. |

Pigeon Plucker Pendant is in the BRB and it only grants a 5+ ward save against wounds caused by models with the 'Fly' special rule. |

I don't know what the making babies they were thinking with all the items that give slight buffs against units that fly. Seriously? What is it, 35 points for fear against flyers? Who the making babies is gonna take that? |

Even a 5+ is not bad for its points - very good if you think a BT will be one of your main targets. |

Most hilarious self-censorship I've seen in a while. Take a bow, sir. Take a bow. |

Wish I could, but it's not self censorship. That's the in-site censor. |

The site censor is funny as hell yet rape seems to slip past for some reason, epic fail |

Anyone tried this build: Lord+MoT+shield+horse+sword of bloodshed+HoME+talsiman of protection. By himself he generates 8 strength 5 attacks, with re-rolls to hit :o Stick him with some knights with the rage banner and then it's 9 attacks :o Am SO tempted to try this out! Is a little light on defence, but offensive is awesome. He'd clear whole ranks by himself!! |

Why not just give him a charmed shield for the same points as a normal shield? 5+ wardsave does also seem a little low however having all those S5 attacks is nice, what be great is a potion of strength as well :) I think what could be interesting so you could also buff the wardsave is sword of anti-heroes, imagine him against a ogre death star! |

Cool. How have you found the manticore to perform so far? |

I really love it as people do not want to show my troll star its flank or rear so normally the manticore gets a flank and I can deal insane amounts of damage or just flap after their warmachines |

What does the HoME stand for? I assume that's what gives him re-rolls but I cannot fathom what that is an abbreviation for. Anyway, I like the following set up - Lord; MoT; Barded Horse; Great Weapon; Talisman of Preservation; Dragonhelm; Ironcurse Icon And I stick him in a unit of Knights with the Banner of Rage. That's 6 S7 attacks, sure he strikes last but he has the protection to withstand some serious punishment. Alternatively, you could switch the GW for the sword of +2 attacks or the Daemonsword for all round goodness! I have played Manticores a few times in my Dark Elf armies and I find that they die far too easily. but so long as you move carefully as to not get shot to pieces and choose your targets wisely, the beast will survive a few turns or more. I take a pegasus instead, in most cases ;) |

Yeah, I guessed already. Just didn't have my book with me... Also, I meant the Runesword (+1WS/S/A), not the Daemonsword in my set ups! |
