Ive got a local tourney coming up and have chosen to bring my Nurgle WoC. Alot of people bring deathstars or pseudo-death stars.
Ive never been able to build one. Mainly because I wont run anything except Nurgle. Im not going to run a Tzeentch Chosen star with two warshrines. Can anyone help me? any banner choices, character choices or troop choices? i have a warshrine and intend to use it too if that helps.

I think that basic chaos warriors are great even if you take slightly unorthodox equipment. A friend of mine took Tzeentch warriors with AHW which isn't optional, but he still slaughtered me with them. :)

So bring your Nergal WoC and go nuts!

Lore of Heavens has excellent synergy with MofN. I'm painting my army Undivided, but both of my warriors units are MofN, to use the very low casting values of Curse of the midnight wind, and Iceshard blizzard.

Iceshard will make the ogres (except Maneaters), savage orc deathstars, hit you on sixes, and quality deathstars like opposing chosen, white lions, etc hit on 5s Curse will make them re-roll those sixes, and iceshard will have the enemy at an additional Minus 1 to ld rolls.

As you will be dealing with one or two deathstars you can cast these spells at pretty low levels with a level 4, Ice shard on a 7+ and Curse on a 10+. Combined with nurgle baby casters its pretty solid. You can even fluff it differently if you'd like, Iceshard as swarm of flies, and curse and a blessing of nurgle making your units even tougher.

I recently come to realize that nurgle is really a good choice.
First nurgle lore, is going to work really good against many of the top builds you will face: empire, lizards, vampire counts. And regen on our troops is HUGE.
Second, nurgle chosen's are really good. Yes, ogres and VC troops will hit you on a 5, lizards and DE will have trouble at shooting at you, and giving their WS of 6 even some melee characters will have to settle for a 4+ to hit (someone said Vampire Lords?)

i do like the constant -1 to hit when shooting. I play high elves alot and empire. I like when the bolt throwers shoot long range and need 5s or 6s. Only problem though is that empire cannon and now ogre leadbelchers dont roll to hit. boo

their new leadbelcher rules are that they roll a d6 for number of hits and then roll to wound.

Leadbelchers are d6 multiple shots. They still have to roll to hit.

Yeah, still need to roll to hit, which with BS 3 and range of 24 is consistently 5s or worse.
