Ok I have had a few games with the WoC and some questions have popped up and I was wondering if the players here would have the answers. Question number one is if you have a unit of chosen with a character in it that causes fear do they benefit from that fear when adjusting the roll for EoG test when the unit champion has the item that allows you to adjust the roll?
Also I run a Nurgle Sorcerer Lord and I try to combo his Curse of the Leper spell with either enfeebling foe or the withering to delete units. The enfeebling foe and withering both state that they can bring either str or toughness down to a minimum of 1. Curse of the Leper states that once cast str and t are reduced by a further 1. To me this would mean that once their str or t is reduced to one from the enfeebling foe or withering that CotL would bring it to 0 thus killing the unit but the argument is that because the shadow spell says to a "minimum of 1" that it cant be reduced further by another spell. Who is right? Thanks!

To the spell question, the answer is Yes, if either get down to 0 the unit dies. its a great trick. Ive IF sacrificed many a Nurgle Sorc to destroy a strong unit

The answer to the Chosen question is depends:
The prevailing wisdom is that the roll the Chosen get at the start of the game is not affected by characters, but a subsequest roll would be (from a warshrine).
Though the pre-game roll is kinda debatable imho.

Since the pre-game chosen roll does not apply to the character, I do not see how you can justify his abilities impacting it.

The rules also say that if a character who causes fear joins a unit, then that unit also causes fear, and vice versa.

The question is, if that unit already caused fear, would that stack to cause terror?

I think no.

However, if the character caused fear, which made the unit cause fear and then they received a roll later on that gave them fear, then I think that would stack to cause terror for the duraiton that the character is in the unit.

No. There is no basis for this concept of Fear stacking into Terror. One or two spells that cause Fear/Terror do say they stack Fear into Terror, but many other affects do not.

Whoops, I thought it was in the special rules for fear/terror. It happens to me so much, I just assumed it was there.

Nevermind, disregard what I said. :o
