Was HE player and just decided, too hell with all this poncey nicey nicey crap, i. its time the world burned in fire!!!!! dont ask dont know lol. anyways first day on the job and gotten about as far as knowing i like tzeentch nurgle and chaos ( dislike slaanes, please just noooo more pink cant take it anymore) and so am just really struggling with how to go about making a fun yet very competetive list for me, i mean to be honest i love all the models besides trolls and giants but as WOC is a trully different conceptt from HE finding it hard to go about it, and so fellow destroyers of the pitifull southlings i beseech you lend me your glorious wisdome so that i may begin my march to eternal glory |

In a certain sense, you'll find that Warriors and High Elves have some similarities, mainly that we love ourselves some elite infantry, and that we're more likely to bring a caster Lord than a fighting one. The divergence starts showing when you get into the business of Core troops, because Warriors are Core (and then you have Marauders, which are also excellent), and chaff units (unfortunately, we have nothing quite like the amazing Great Eagle). I suggest you cobble together an armylist, crude as it may be, post it on the forum, and then we can help you refine it into an instrument worthy of the gods. ;) |

Looking to shift away form HE in play style? Like Tzeentch and Nurgle? Hmmm.... Tzeentch warriors with hand weapon and shields....Nurgle knights with the banner of rage. Start with that and whatever else you want in it, see how it rubs ya. |

I think you need to figure out the sort of play style you want first, I found the best way to add fun to the list is to pick a theme and run with it. |

thank you for some insights into ways to work my new chaos army, i do tend to see some similarities in that im used to magic alot so to keep me in good stead will probably go along the ways of a caster lord perhaps TZ on disc as im a firm believer in movement is crucial. i have to admit i do tend to play e very hesitant defensive style which may not suit the army due to our lack of shooting and such so not sure how to work around this, altho i do hope to create a very robust army that just wont die as i was so used to the old weakling elves being removed by the bucket load and try to field a decent number of units in a decent size so perhaps just alot of warriors to get me going. thank you all for the help. |
