So my group and I always like to pop in a soundtrack to say "Braveheart" or "The Lord of the Rings" when we play. It adds a nice touch to everything. B)

What do you usually listen to when gaming? This can be on purpose or incidental.

Table top gaming is one of the main activities my social group participates in so while 2 people are playing there is almost always someone in the background painting or talking about D&D or what ever the geeky topic of the day happens to be. So its just kind of an informal chatter amongst everyone. On the other hand I have always envisioned death metal playing whenever a chaos unit charges. Especialy Chaos Knights.

I find assorted Blind Guardian tracks to be really good for background music. Lord of the Rings trilogy is popular as well

I like light metal ie. not thrash or death, but maybe iron maiden, judas priest, deep purple, led zep, even hawkwind kinda stuff. It's nice to listen to but you don't have to become too involved listening to it.

It goes Puppets, Lightning, Kill'em All, ...and Justice in that order for me. Everything else is... meh from them to me. For me; Megadeth destroys Metallica, then and now, and probably will always. Rust alone dominates anything Metallica has ever put out. Plus Mustaine is way crazier than all the guys who have ever been in Metallica put together. All of that is totally just my opinion of course. I am not trying to antagonize the Metallica fans. I am a total Mustaine fan; and totally believe that Metallica would have been 10x better if they had tried to sober Dave up instead of kick him out. But then I would not have Megadeth. One of the models in my Chosen Warriors of Nurgle unit is even named Mustaine. It is actually the Sigvald model converted to Nurgle theme and painted with ginger flowing hair lol. I will post it in my army thread when I finish basing him.

Plus the whole, Metallica suing their fans for down-loading their music; while Megadeth was giving theirs away free online anyways thing kind of turned me off anything Metallica made after Black.

But to answer the thread topic: Anything from Megadeth works for me. But I like tons of music. Anything big band wows me, orchestras amaze me, and anyone playing a piano will memorize me. Chopin is my favorite musician ever.

I tend to stay away from 80's big hair band type stuff though.

@Misery Index: Wow those are some truly Chaos themed bands. Total respect for them, but not so much to my taste though. Screamers and growlers scare me too much lol. Cheers to those that enjoy it though.

Yay im not the only one who enjoys screamo metal! It became a disease freshman year with my friends and I! Whenever we play, we just take our iPods out and see who gets the pick of the day. So our songs usually vary. However, we mostly enjoy our Asking Alexandria, Miss May I, A Day To Remember, In Fear and Faith, and Woe Is Me. Though we will dabble in some lighter genres, and we always do enjoy our dubstep xD at least that is if a 40k game is going around!
