So, my group and I had a big day of gaming, and something interesting came up in conversation towards the end of it. My friend plays tomb kings, and he wondered aloud if he could move his screaming skull catapults with his signature spell from the Lore of Nehekara. I told him that as long as there is some sort of movement characteristic then it should be possible. He then asked, "But would I then be able to shoot?" I looked in the book, and didn't find anything to the contrary (no move or shoot for stone throwers). Then it hit me...hellcannons can move and shoot. If this is possible, and I just never noticed, in my defence I always tried to use the Hellcannon as an actually cannon, and less a monster, but that is all about to change in a hurry if they can move and shoot. So, is it true? Can stone throwers (hellcannons included) move and shoot? This obviously excludes a failed rampage test... |

The Hellcannon counts as a monster and handlers. This means it can move and shoot (monsters can move and shoot), if the FAQ says it cannot then I am wrong (haven't read the FAQ). Tomb Kings 8th Edition Army Book; Pg 61. Khsar's Incantation of the Desert Wind (Signature Spell) "The targets can immediately make a normal move as if it were the Remaining Moves sub-phase." Based on that, I would say no, the stonethrower cannot shoot because it counts as moving. Models moved in the Remaining Moves sub-phase are considered to have moved for shooting purposes. With that said, stonethrowers don't really need to move. |

All Warmachines are by default considered to have the "slow to fire" rule, so no. :) Theo |
