I have the Chariot model, and enough bitz to make it a warshrine of khorne (idk if I'd give it MoK). I am not sure whether to make it a Chariot or a Warshrine, I am heavily thinking about the warshrine because I have a lot of special already and absolutely no rare. My army is completely Khorne and these are the models I have so far: 1 BSB 24 Warriors (halberds and FCx1) 15 Knights (ensorcelled) 10 Chosen (GWs or Halberds) 10 Warhounds Chariot (unbuilt... possible warshrine) Regardless of what I turn this box into, I will be getting at least 2 warshrines and 2 chariots (at least). Side note: I am lacking a general. The reason for this is because I don't know what to do with my general. I know it will be a chaos lord (maybe demon prince, doubt it), but I dont know if I want it on foot, on horseback, manticore, dragon, juggernaut, or what. I'll get the juggernaut model because its amazing, but I dont know if I'll want my general on a jugger in 2.5k+. |

The best synergy with warshrine is MoT! Than you hope that your unit will have ward save 3+. With MoK I think that you should built chariot to maximize your killing potential! |

For purely strategic reasons, I would only ever mark a shrine with Tzeentch or nothing. 3++ is nice but even unmarked they are extremely solid. Fluff-wise, if you really want the MoK, I would go with the chariot. MoK chariots rarely fail to disappoint, perhaps one of the most frightening chariots in the game. MoK warshrine.... meh, I would just save the points and leave it unmarked. Unless you have fluff reasons, then mark away! |

I don't personally play chariots myself, I'd rather drop in a hellcannon. As for the warshrine, it's only really viable with a properly equipped unit of chosen. I agree with the post above... either leave it unmarked or the mark of Tzeentch. |

Thank you for the replies. If I take a Warshrine, I know MoT is the best, but I am going to keep it unmarked. MoT doesn't belong in a Khorne only army, though MoK is a waste for only +1 attack so I will keep it unmarked (I don't see why this would be an issue for a Monokhorne themed army). If I take a Chariot it will be marked with the MoK. I think generally speaking a Chariot would be better for my army. Unfortunately, I already started turning it into a Warshrine. I'd like a Warshrine so this isn't too bad. I'll add more chariots when I can. Is a warshrine worth its points for an army that has, at most, 10 Chosen? I figured sense I didn't take magic a warshrine would be a nice replacement. I have a large unit of Warriors (24 at the moment, soon to be 35), I am assuming the warshrine could help them out or would those points be better suited elsewhere? |

A warshrine can help out both units. If you are giving your Chosen the terror banner out of the BRB and FotG, then you could still get a unit of chosen w/ a 4++ save. Not to mention the +1A or +1T are great boosts for the unit as well. As for the warriors, you can buff them w/ the shrine all you want. It'll just be slightly harder to get something good for them. Personally, though, I'd go for the chariot. Smaller footprint means less attacks back at it and they make awesome support units for the foot sloggers as they will generally be moving at the same pace. They hit like a freight train as well. Unless you roll like me and keep rolling 1s for impact hits. :P |

A warshrine is even more random than magic. Even with Favor of the Gods on the target unit, the odds of a useless outcome are way too high. 8,9,10 are all bad rolls, and 7 (modified to 6) is not exactly great. The problem with no magic is not the lack of augment magic on your side, but the inability to stop the enemy magic. A warshrine augment will not make up for fighting an enemy unit while you are at -2 strength. Edited by David L, Dec 28 2011, 11:02 PM.
