im entering a tournament with the meeting engagement scenario. i have never played this scenario before and was wondering what peoples plan is when it comes to deployment. especially if you have to deploy first. do you deploy up and in their face or back off the 6" line so you have a chance to manouver before combat?? advice appreciated |

The few times that I've played the meeting engagement scenario, I've gotten as close as I can. After all, WoC excels at getting into HtH ASAP. |

I think alot depends on what I am facing. Against a shooty army, get up on the start line. Against another combat oriented army, I like the depth that is created and have a more "mixed" deployment. Some on the line, others backed up. |

i was thinking trying to set it up like battle for the pass. hold the short flank while pushing the long flank, bit like a free vanguard. solid center deployed back a bit. |
