Hey all, Just wanted to share something that's been buzzing about my head of late. Our army (understandably) revolves around the almighty infantry blocks, but I wanted to know what other complementary fighting units you bring along from the list. I'd also love to hear if you have some reasoning for them. I'll start with my choices. I like Knights because they bring something WoC typically lacks (movement speed), while not sacrificing any of the gaudy stats we know and love. S5 and magical also helps them pound through Ethereals or Forest Spirits. The Hellcannon brings a beefy T6 monster along with some emergency shooting in a pinch, plus its being Unbreakable really helps in the case you need a tarpit for a turn or two. |

I can understand voting for the Hellcannon, because it does several things nothing else in the book can do. But beyond that, 95% of the time, knights are better than any of the other choices. It was really bad in 7th edition when the book came out - knights were obviously much much better than any other special choice (any other choice period). |

Knights since they scream CHAOS! Though I would have voted for chariots if they were offered. Great support unit for our infantry. |

Also left off the warshrine :P I guess that's forgivabe though if you wanted people to vote based on looks as well since the warshrine doesn't have a model for it. I think that the warshrine is unbelievably good and a steal for the points. |

I guess I really consider a Warshrine an add-on for the Chosen strategy. Once I spend the points on one, I really can't justify not having the other. :P |

knights and hellcannon. they pretty much write themselves into any list i make. although i love running a giant for fun. he is never seen in a competitive environment. |

I like my Dragon Ogres for being able to have the high S7 attack and lots of wounds with a fair armour save. Trolls are a no brainer why we take them. Become stupid death machines with the Slaanesh Frenzy spell and as well backed by Warshrines. I however use Trolls as my core infantry. I don't take Warriors or Marauders if I take Trolls. |

Spawn - unreliable, but its an unbreakable speedbump, easy re-director and can take a fair bit of punishment. |

Knights are awesome. Cavalry may not be the auto win they were in 7th but I have turned entire flanks with them. |

I got a Giant from my gf for christmas, sadly, I can't see how I can justify the points in a competition. I'm going to love him in some just for fun games, I mean, two pages of rules. Who can't love that? |

Knights for speed, hitting power and magical attacks. Dragon ogres as they are some of the coolest things in the book (in my opinion), even if they don't always perform well :P A useful unit to have on the flanks due to their speed, wounds and hitting power. Knights+dragon ogres can be a great tag team: one has great armour but few wounds, the other has average armour but loadsa wounds :) |
