How about 3) Entried must be between XXX and YYY number of words. (Perhaps 1500 to 2000, a large enough margin). This to ensure that the fluff are about the same, so that we don't get a 50 page epic from someone, and a 20 line chant from someone else, that would become to hard to judge. 4) Entries must have a specific contex. For the same reasons as above. But it should be rather open, just no Skaven Poetry or something like that :P 5) During the competition, you are not allowed to post your fluff anywhere or talk about its content. I thnk judging should be done in three categories. 1: Writing Skill. This does not mean spelling, although checking the spelling is a good thing to do (something I have not done in this post :P), it rather deals with if its easy to read, clear about who does what and the general "feel" of the fluff. Does it feel like it happened or a bit hollow the way some stories sound when the conversations and such arn't that well made. 2: Imagination. Writing something that noone has ever seen before is not imagination, anyone can do that. Writing something intressting, no matter if the concept has been done before or not, that is imagination. So someone writing about a green blob from outer space gets the minimum points (as well as a discalification since its not about warhammer...) since its just strange, not good. A person writing a normal battle report, but who does it in a really cool way thats different from the normal "He walks there and hits him" style, gets full points. 3: Story. Generaly, how good is it. A story might be writting with amazing skill and real imagination, but might still stink. Perhaps 1-3 points on each. Or perhaps 1-5 on story to make the story more important than the rest. And then its all added together to find the winner. |

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. All we have done is get three willing judges and make a basic set of rules. We are not ready for the competition quite yet. We have to finalize the rules, and make sure everyone is happy with them. That means choosing what kind of fluff is accepted (Chaos, etc.) The judges have to make sure they can really do this, as things can pop up from time to time. EDIT - good, LB. Those rules look pretty balanced. |

Yes, wait a while with your stories. Oh yes. 6) No open ended things! That means no to be continued or something. Its fine it leaves the possibility to be continued later, but the story must of course have a propper ending. |

7)Believability:could it actually happen in the warhammer world? Can a lord really defeat 4 greater daemons? 8)Don't write about your regular character! These will only be accepted if LB and Marixis agree. |

Well, I think we should start with Chaos only. Then if it works out, we can enlargen it and include other stuff (and other sites). What do people think of the size? 1500-2000 is three pages (with a few blank rowes) in words with 12 size times new roman. To long, to short? |

How do you mean chaos only? Couldnīt it be something like a battle (vs chaos)from the view of say a bretonnian knight (maybe a peasant)? Who is the 3 judges, so far I know about: Lightbringer Rogge_85 whitethunder But Marixis sounds like a judge aswell... |
