The room was dark and damp, moist from the storm outside penetrating the walls and ceiling and slowly dripping down to the floor of the small ruined fort in Equantis. Beyond the walls thunder echoed through the night and lightning bolts split the heaven asunder. Not one took notice of the white bolt of energy that struck down into the seemingly abandoned fortress that served as the meeting place for the lieutenants of the Changer, none except those on the inside. Within the walls the assembled sorcerers bowed to the figure of light that appeared in the middle of the room, the shining incorporeal form of Lightbringer, who was using the so called Child that was found in Levin to cast his spirit over the seas to confer with the others. Manon, the all seeing, stepped forward. "Greetings Lord of Light. The area has been warded just as you asked. But the hour is drawing late, we almost thought you had decided not to join us." The Lightbringer’s shining form fixed his eyes on Manon. "For now our paths are the same, I will not betray you this day.” He was silent for a second, as if pondering something, then continued. “The winds have been unstable, the Crown is beginning to awake and it upsets them, that is why my travel take longer than expected. But it is also necessary for what we are here for tonight." His gaze wandered around the room, incorporeal eyes looking into the world beyond the physical one. "Yes… I feel a surge in the winds approaching; a wave of energy coming from the wakening Crown is about to hit us. We should begin if we wish to use its powers." Manon nodded. “I sense it to, let us start the summoning.” Manon and Lightbringer stepped back, and together with the others they formed a circle around the centre of the room. A low murmur rose from the assembled cabal as they started their chants, and a wispy white presence started to form in the middle of the room, snaking around as if testing the boundaries of its existence. Soon it started to grow and become more intense, and the chants of the assembled rose as they strived to complete the spell. And then the surge in the winds of magic hit them and the Lightbringer and Manon gasped in unison, both of them sensitive to the power that flowed through the world. The light in the middle of the room erupted and blinded everyone in the room momentarily. For one second, all was silent, then Manon spoke with a strange voice. "The gateway is open, he is here." The assembled sorcerers kneeled before the figure in front of them, a blurred shadow of energy distorted by the magical window through which they would communicate. Lightbringer was the first to rise and speak to the apparition. "Greetings Marixis, high lord of the forces of Tzeentch!" _______________ It was quite some time later that mystical communications between the forces assaulting Miannantus and their leader finally ended, and a lot had been decided in that time. Lightbringer and Manon watched as the others returned to their forces to set in motion the plan they had decided upon, they then looked at each other. They said nothing, it was not needed, even if there was no trust between them they both knew the other would do their part of this plan, play the role that they had been given. Lightbringer bowed his head to Manon, taking his leave, and then he was gone, and Manon remained alone in the small fort. Soon, he to left to tend to his part. |

This is a Cylon. They look way, way, way cooler in BSG

DANGIT! with the Khorne Undivided alliance, you could have at LEAST had a civil war and give us some chance! But noooo! You band together like good little tzeentchians! Garrrrrrgleeeeesmurf. Still, awesome writing. I was so happy: grammar and spelling were there. Too often a good piece of writing has been wrecked by grammar problems and spelling mistakes which actually change the storys meaning. Surprisingly enough, all of the writers who do this have english as a first language... Hm... Anyway, as I said, awesome writing. And you know when Lightbringer says "I will not betray you this day"? Do me a favour, and do it tomorrow. |

Good story Lightbringer. But I wonder how long it will take before Nurgle comes here for some payback for Levin? :D |

 Thats something new, I usually spell horribly! Although my grammer is usualy ok... Word most have done its job properly this time. :D
Just thought I'd point out in the story that all in these factions are not buddies. Most factions probably contain people who hate eachother, and who just happens to have a common goal right now. Lightbringer has betrayd his allies before, and you never know, he might do so again :P |

I for one don't think it won't be long before the Nurgle boys comes after the Tzeentch forces when they land on Equentis. |
