Sovran, the infamous Shadow Lord of Wrath stood on the pier of his ship, The Black Isis, and looked over army in front of him. He had been dormant for the past few months, but after he felt his unwitting pawn, Slaithus, move onto this island in the search for ultimate power, Sovran had felt obliged to take over. After all, he was one of the most powerful beings to scourge the face of the world, even if he had not really revealed himself to its denizens. Now Sovran had a full army under his command by just making an appearance.
The army began to rise to its feet, but they still kept their heads bowed in respect for their obvious superior. With his loud voice, the Shadow Lord proclaimed his goal.
“I am Sovran, the Wrath of Shi’zakh. You have already learned to respect me. This is good. I alone can lead you to victory!” He paused, then took a brief mental estimate of the numbers in the army. He raised his arms above his head and began chanting something. In a flash, the beach became twice as crowded. For every warrior that stood, his Shadow was torn away from his body and was shaped into a sort of demonic figure. They varied in size and shape, most resembled humanoid figures, while some where as vast as ogres and shaped like dragons. Sovran laughed at the horror he had installed into his forces.
“You are my Shadow Legion, a mix of mortal and Shadow. Go forth and spill the blood in the name of Shi’zakh!” The Shadow Lord laughed again; Sovran had been unleashed.

“He gave the Shadows life, and his legion was complete; Soul and Shadow fought together in fearsome vigour.”

Yeah, i made it short under the Character Dark Book requirement thingey. I would've liked to make it longer, but if it gets Sovran noticed... lol.

This is a Cylon. They look way, way, way cooler in BSG
Yeah, I really like your writing. it's clear and descriptive, and written as if it was the words from a book, apparentlky your Book of Shadow, whilst my writing is reminicsent of a storyteller psycotic whom had lived during that time (not a joke, just the best description I could come up with.) Also, you create the whole feeling of omnipotence without neccesarily making him omnipotent. The charector of your god is easily see-able. Good job, Stratos.

Thanks a lot guys! As I said, I would've liked to go into further detail and make it longer, but I thought I had reached the 500 word max when I posted... only to find out its a little more that 200 words in length! Hopefully Sovran well get into the next Dark Book... but I promise for more details in other pieces of work.
The Book of Shadow is not something I have actually written. It is sort of like the prophetic Bible of Shi'zakh which is mentioned in the stories of mine, just like how Sovran is one of the three villains in the stories I'm (attempting) to write, so I have quite an elaborate backgroud. As for the other two Shadows Lords (who are also part of Shi'zakh), I doubt I'll do anything for them in LoA... I want to focus on Sovran here, so hopefully I'll turn him into a loveable character. Thanks again for the comments.
