WOW a 7k list.


continued from other post...

I heear ya on the furies one of my dumbass orc opponents took 10 chukkas in a 3k game all about 2 inches apart on a ridge in one big line right next to the edge of the table. wanna guess were 10 chukka crews went early on in the game.

I usually use at least 8 they just always die on me.

I don't know about the no daemons being a sign that the God isn't watching them,but I can see your point.

I like your list but I know I would get led alot were I to play it. I would at least split the marauders, but as I said we probably play completely differently.

Sorry if I came off cocky. Lately I have been playing an ass load of games and winning so I am probably getting very full of myself.

It just seems such a waste not to have multiple units of chosen with so many warriors, but if you think about it, it costs 6 points to upgrade to chosen well marauders with flails cost the same per model. Si fir every unit of chosen warriors you could have had a unit of the same size of marauders with flails.

I would rate the 7k but just how the hell do you rate a 7k army !? :blink:

i could field alot more if i added more daemons, knights, etc.

yeah i hear you on being led about, flers are easy to counter, i have furries if need be, also if they are trying to lead knights about and you got teh first turn its easy, just declare a charge on them, they flee and you redirect into anouther unit.

spawn are great at getting rid og units like shades, bloodbeasts are even better, str and t 5 with the random move the enemy can never be sure if they are gona get out of charge range or not.

now flesh hounds are a amazing flanking unit, ws5, 2 str attacks each and cause fear with a unit strength of 2 each. they can move though pretty much any terrain with movement reduction. I sometimes use these to backup my furries, fear is your ally.

and no problem bout before, alot of people assume im a nob to the hobby cos i use daemonic steeds. I dont think my list is perfect by any means, but my lists do win.

why such a large unit, well, why not, they still are a very powerful unit, maybe not so much as a chaos warrior unit but you get what you pay for and teh size of the unit with low stats will draw fire away form my warriors. what do you shoot, a weak unit that has no save but is easy vps and if ignored will cause you problems or a unit witch alot of armies i play need a 5+ to wound from shooting and then still has a 4+ save.

On a side note i would use more furries and chosen knights but id rather gain a extra unit of warriors which will give me more options in game and most games i play i deploy units than the enemy bar prolly humans and goblins. Then again my 2k list is 1800pts troops (well just under) and not 1000pts of characters. characters cant kill units, characters in unit easy, challenge with a warrior champion, butcher the unit and lose, wait a champion.

My first list i dont every all the marauders but i have pretty much everything else and then some, i think i have around 200 chaos warriors now including some from other gods and old models, mainly old models. hehe i have about 50 chaos knights with lances and think that ge should be shoot for changing them to hand weapons!!!.

I still believe that 2 units of normal hounds is better than a single unit of flesh hounds, I also believe that the daemonic steed is just a waste of points...

For your 7K list, why full command on marauder horsemen??? Standards for those is just easy victory points for the opponent...

well, im happy with the flesh hounds, they do their job very well so i see no need to change them. anyways a unit of flesh hounds can charge small units and warmachines and auto break them and then redirct into anouther target, war hounds cannot.

They can take alot more shooting and are alot less likly to take damage in combat and actually win combats. also magic resistance 2 is nice ;)

I gave the marauder full command just for so they didnt feel left out, im not even going to go into daemonic steeds ( apart for it does say next to one entry its a conversion, its looks cool so im happy), i like erm and i see nothin wrong with them and if im really scared of it shoot apart well i can always keep it within 4" of the dragon ogres ;)

dont you guys ever use stuff cos you like the models more than worry about the vps.

anyways i havent had that many problems using my chaos armies, i havent lost a huge amount of games so im happy.

Well, I avoid using some stuff even if it would be good because I don't like the models (like the Dragon Ogres and Minataurs), and I always take mark of Tzeentch on my spawns even if I do not think its really worth it, for fluffs sake.

The Flesh Hounds fear must really come in handy against warmachines, I agree with you there, and the Daemonic Steed is just wonderfull, I use it myself. Have never had problems with it beeing shot down or anything like that, lets my character engage in combat wherever he wants to and its a rather good figher.
And my model for it (I converted it) looks cool! So thats a bonus. :P

i dont think my general has ever been shoot at, then again bolt throwers tend to worry more about the 45 chaos warriors and chaos knights.

i find my general damn good on his steed, unit str4, cause fear, hes great at hunting down lone wizards, warmachines and joining the fight were he is needed. the fact he is he is m8 rather than 7 is always handy, alows him to keep up with units like marauder horsemen if need be.

i do agree that the dragon ogres could be better, im gona strip mine down and repaint them, might sue a bit of greenstuff on them to make erm abit better.
