Approximate list for chaos (things that I knew about): Exalted Champion Familiar disc of Tzeench level 2 tzeench sorcerer Mark of tzeench Aspiring champion “the mounted champion of chaos”: barded chaos steed level 2 tzeench sorcerer mark of tzeench equipment unknown Aspiring champion “The champion of chaos” level 2 tzeench sorcerer mark of tzeench equipment unknown 12 chaos warriors Shields full command 4 chaos knights 5 marauder horsemen flails Skaven list Warlord Throquol Chieftain Bands of power shield Traw-Tunk Warlock Engineer warp blades warp lightning condenser warpstone amulet storm daemon 30 clanrats "rogues" spears full command ratling gun 30 clanrats (accompanied by Traw-tunk) spears full command ratling gun 25 clanrat slaves 20 plague monks (Accompanied by throquol Umbranner full command Chaos turn 1 The entire chaos horde ran up maniacally across the field, starting to make some of the skaven fell nervous. "Stand your ground-ground", hollered throquol, "Or I shall kill-kill you myself!". Traw-tunk started feeling something strange; The winds of magic were approaching. Fire appeared from all the Tzeenchian wizards, shooting at the slaves and a ratling gun. The heat proved too much for the skaven holding the ratling gun, as the gun melted, and the crewmen fell to the ground. A number of slaves fell to the heat, but their sheer numbers kept them going. Skaven turn 1 Throquol and Traw-tunk demanded that the skaven move into strategic positions. "You filthy-filthy slaves, draw-draw their magic away from !, Rogue brothers, protect out flank-flank, monks and fellow rats-rats, follow-follow us!". Traw-tunk tried to call upon the winds of magic, but it seemed that they were being taken by the tzeenchian bastards. Even traw-tunks blessed daemon was not working. Hopefully the remaining ratling gun would cover up for the lack of help produced by traw-tunk. "tunk, what-what was that? They should be dead-dead by now!" hollered throquol. " The ratling gun opened fire on the quickly approaching marauder horsemen, leaving none of them alive. The cries of the horsemen filled the rats with joy, laughing maniacally, bringing back the skaven’s lost morale. Chaos turn 2 The remaining chaos kept marching, but the knights and exalted champion did not go as far as they could've, as they were very close to the skaven. The sorcerers tried to eliminate the ratling gun along with the plague monks. The ratling gun must have been blessed by the horned rat, as it survived the little amount of fire that came towards the startled holders. Traw-tunk generally kept all the magic under control, but some fire still killed a couple monks, but the frenzied rats could care less. Traw-tunk could hear cursing from the tzeenchian host, and let off a little laugh. Skaven turn 2 The skaven pretty much staid stationary, "Stand your ground-ground!! They can't take us all-all!" shouted throquol. Traw-tunk prayed to the horned rat, and the horned rat listened, helping him send lightning to the knights from the warp. The knights could not possibly survive all the lightning. As the knights died, you could hear more cursing from the mounted champion of chaos that accompanied the knights, which pleased traw- tunk. The unit dying also made the warriors of chaos flee, which made throquol cackle maniacally. If it weren't for that, traw-tunk would have been very annoyed that his daemon did not work, yet again. Throquol heard the bullets of the ratling gun, but he could not see anything dying. Just then, a bullet whizzed “what the hell-hell?” said throquol puzzled. He stepped outside the unit for a second, and saw the ratling gun shooting at the rogue clanrats. The ratling gun regained its control, but it was too late, the rogues were already running away. “Get-get back here!”, hollered throquol, but it worked to no avail. Chaos turn 3 The exalted champion and the mounted champion of chaos charged towards the slaves, who barely outran the exalted champion. The mounted champion of chaos gave up the chase, realizing it was impossible to catch the slaves, not realizing his flank was exposed to traw-tunks unit. The rest of the chaos host moved up a little bit. The winds of magic seemed to have returned to the previously fleeing champion of chaos, who finished of the ratling gun in a violent volley of fire. The exalted champion of chaos kept blasting the fleeing slaves with fire. Skaven turn 3 Traw-tunk led the charge into the side of the chaos champion, which connected. Throquol’s unit of plague monks could not control themselves and charged the warriors of chaos. “Rat champion, I challenge you!” was yelled at traw-tunk and throquol from the mounted and uncounted champion of chaos, and they both accepted. The mounted champion disembarked from his mount. "Skaven of the Horned Rat, stand-stand your ground! Don't fight-fight unless you get-get attacked!" demanded traw-trunk. The clanrats formed a semi-circle around traw-tunk, as he and the champion circled each other. The rogue clanrats looked back and noticed the ratling gun was no longer there, and re-entered the battle. The slaves kept fleeing, and did not turn back. Traw-tunk got first swing in, as he lunged toward the champion of chaos. The champion dodged out of the way and wounded traw-tunk. “DAMNIT-DAMNIT!” shouted traw-tunk, and his allies started getting rowdy. The chaos champion became scared of all the skaven and re-embarked on his horse and started to run. Traw-tunk and his fellow skaven pursued him. “Hurry-hurry! We’ve got-got him on the run!” Shouted traw-tunk. Meanwhile, Throquol quickly put the other champion of chaos out of his misery, by stabbing him in the head and heart. The monks and the warriors were taking each other out pretty evenly. Chaos turn 4 The exalted champion turned around after chasing down the skaven slaves, and the mounted sorcerer of chaos had his courage return. They both started to cast fire at traw-tunks unit and at the rogues. It only eliminated a few skaven, and the cursing came even louder. “YOU DAMN RATS! I ****ING HATE YOU! JUST DIE YOU STUPID….”, and it just kept going on as traw-tunk kept laughing. The combat between the monks and the warriors started to go to the monks advantage, but the warriors still stood courageously. Skaven turn 4 The rogues wanted to justify their minor flight, so they charged the mounted champion of chaos. The champion wanted to stand and fight, but his mount uncontrollably turned around and fled with him on it. Traw-tunk and his unit turned to face the exalted champion. Traw-tunk called upon the lightning to blast the exalted champion. It destroyed his beloved disc of trench and sent him unconscious, as his storm daemon finished him off. “VICTORY FOR THE HORNED RAT! VICTORY! VICTORY!!!” was heard for miles from traw-tunk, his unit and the rogues. The battle between the monks and the warriors raged on, and with every swing that throquol made, he took out a warrior. The monks took some heavy casualties, but so did the warriors. Both units held their ground… for now. “Kill-kill them now, before they kill-kill you! We have-have them on the ropes!” Chaos Turn 5 The remainder of the chaos host looked at how few of them were left, and how many skaven were left, and they started to flee. The plague monks chased after the warriors and cut them down. They could not catch the mighty speed of the mounted champion of chaos. Throquol grabbed his sword by the blade and threw it at the champion, hitting the horse and slew it. The champion flew into the air, unable to walk. The monks caught up and circled the champion and Throquol, as the champion tried to get up, he fell back down. As Throquol raised his sword above the champions head, a blade came across the champions head, as the deacon of the plague monks was shortly slain by Throquol for stealing his glory. |

Considering this was your first batrep/fluff ever, I'd say it was prety good. This is a matter of opinion, but I prefer batreps that dont say what turn it is, it makes it seem more like fluff. You had some good dialogue going, but maybe if you add some dialogue from the other side (optional). I'd also suggest you explain the deployment and the movement phase better to make it easier to follow. As for LoA, you just make some fluff saying you play nurgle, and report your wins for nurgle. |
