Insane until further notice.
The Thunderlord lay on the floor, oblivious as to what was happening. The men chatted around him, but he couldn't move. He couldn't cast magic-and these people were keeping him there.
It was a boat, and a rusty one at that. The timber frame work was red, and broken in places. the wood seemed to hold mind, as it was thick.
There semed to be several men-or whatever they were aboard, and below deck, no-one seemed to go. When the Thunderlord invaded this ship with 20 skeleton-raiders, he had expected it to be empty. Besides-Faeygre should be able to handle anything.
But it was clear that that wasn't the case.
Faeygre had been hit by thousands of crossbow bolts, and then a thousand more, sending the huge zombie dragon into the icy depths of the water. It probably hadn't lasted. The Thunderlord had managed to leap onto the deck before the dragon fell, but to little avail. Strange hooded creatures had aided potent magic users and marksmen into defeating his skeleton guard, and disarming him. He had lived, but was bound by ropes that crushed his frail bones.
His sword was being passed about in the confusion-and his pearly white robes had been aloud to saty. His shieldwas lost in the confusion-probably lying around here somewhere.
But it was odd-The Thunderlord must be losing power-much power. Ideally, he couldget out of these trapppings anyday-but today he couldn't.
One of the men approached him. He was hooded.
"Who are you?" he asked
"Your worst nightmare," replied the Thunderlord
"oh? How do you think we defeated you so easily?"
"I am losing power. It was only 3 weeks ago I fought and lost to a bloodthirster."
The man pulled away his hood, revealing a youthful pointy-eared face. It was an elf.
"So, you are a young one? Maybe theyounger generation is taking over..."
"I am precisely 229, for your information. You are much younger, but the evil lord of the undeath has made you old-looking."
"Nagash?"
"Do not speak the devils name!"
The Thunderlord laughed,"Nagash is weak, he is not what I am. Nor will he ever be. Release me, and I shall crush him."
The Thunderlord stared deep into the elf's eyes, almost hypnotising the elf. As if it was robotic, the man unsheathed his short sword, and cut the rope away from around the Thunderlord.
"Fetch my sword,"he demanded, and the elf obeyed.
"Fetch my shield," he demanded again, and the elf went below deck to get it.
"LAND AHOY!" shouted the captain from the front of the ship. He was gazing at Equantis through a telescope. The Thunderlord had had no joy there thus far.
The elf returned a minute later with his shield. So it wasn't lost...
"Kill the other elves. They are your enemies!"Cackled the lord, as the elf drew a sword and started toward the other elves.
They watched in horror as one began garglling, and a sword was drawn right through it. He bent double, and fell over.
The other elves began attacking the lone elf. Another had fallen to the Thunderlord's servant, and upon each death, a new enemy appeared as the Thunderlord used his magic to make the corpse rise again.
The deck was soon full of creatures, as the inhabitants of the lower decks came to join the fight. There were lizards fighting alongside elves-a strange combination indeed.
The skeletons of the fallen were the greater force however, and prevailed over them. In the centre of the skeleton's stood the elf nthat started it all. He had warped manically-his glisting chainmail gone fiery red, his blonde hair jet black, his light skin dark purple-his sword had grown spikes off of it. He was the perfect aide.
"Elf!" The Thunderlord shouted
"Sir?" his voicewas not his own. It was distorted and deep-the voice of a manical fanatic.
"What is your name?"
"Before, in the foolish light kingdom i was named Tyjar. My name is now your choice."
"Then your name is now Firetongue. You will stay by my side."
"As you command."
The Thunderlord walked to the side of the ship. Equantis was in site but he was not ready.
"Rise Faeygre! Come to me!" he bellowed.
A ripple was seen far off, and a dark shape was moving up. A huge jet of water shot up, and Faeygre rose out of it. The dragon had come back to it's master.
An elf, an arrow through his chest, suddenly came up through the doors through the trapdoor in the floor.
"You cannot overcome the Arcane Alliance! We will ru...."
The elf fell, gargling...
