Hey all, quick question on how ironcurse icon and tzeentch work together. The way I read it, the icon gives my hero and any unit he is with a 6+ save. Tzeentch then boosts that save to a 5+. My friend however says that the increased ward save only applies to the model that has the mark of tzeentch. So if I put a tzeentch sorcerer in a unit of nurgle warriors, do they have a 5+ or a 6+? And are there any rules or FAQs to prove the statement? |

I am pretty sure it only applies to models with the mark of tzeentch. |

Tekik is correct. The nurgle warriors will only get a 6+ ward. That's why it's better to put that item on a character in a Tzeentch marked unit. Makes it more effective. |

Remember that marks does only benefit to the model who has it. A character with MoK would not grants frenzy to any unit he joins. I can see that this ironcurse-situation is not supported by the rules, but in my oppinion it is just pure logic ;) |

I thought a unit joined by a character with Frenzy gains Frenzy so long as the character has it? |

No, only the character gets the extra attack from frenzy. The entire unit has to test so it doesn't charge automatically though. The way around this is to put a character in a unit with the banner of rage. That gives frenzy to the unit which he is now part of there for he has frenzy as well. |

Does the banner give mounts frenzy? I understand that MoK doesnt but I am unclear on the banner. (Doesnt make that much of a differance to me because I dont put it on cav) |

Not that it matters to me either, but the description of the banner clearly states that the unit gets frenzy. In that case I would assume it includes the mounts since they are part of the unit. Hope I don't tread on anybodys boots by saying so ;) |

I see it played both ways. I used to be a firm believer that mounts should get it however the Banner of Rage gives Frenzy to "the unit". However I realized that the description is fulfilled by only applying the Frenzy rule to the riders - the unit has Frenzy. I feel it is gentlemanly to always assume the side which is least advantageous to myself when the rules are unclear so that's how I apply the rule. |
