The only reason I would take a daemonic steed in my Tzeentch army (not a disc mind you, but a daemonic steed to use among the knights) is not because of this new rule regarding targeting, but rather the new rule that makes a unit that includes a fearcauser immune to fear, making my Tzeentch knights a lot more reliable!

 I must have missed that rule....... suddenly I'm very tempted (my knights have failed EVERY fear test the first time asking they've had to take! I suck at rolling leadership tests. <_< ).

Yeah that makes them a little better, now it seems quite a waste of points using Nurgle Knights/warriors anymore (Mark of Nurgle got a lot better for characters & a lot worse for units imo).

@Tammil: Man you´ve missed that, that´s what people talk about most now a days on the chaos forums, how much better it is to have fearcausers in your units (that 6 that Chaos Knights of Khorne get frenzied steeds, but this isn´t proven yet, so we´ll see later)

Yeah, I probabily still won't do it though, as my exalted and his knights have the unenviable job on taking on enemy hammers and their combat monster leaders. AS such, I won't be able to afford to give away the easy CR of a daemonic mount,

I like the Jugger of Khorne with the new rules making it un targetable in a unit it becomes a viable option.

I use this tactic with my mounted champions and some people think Im crazy but it works. A jugger of Khorne in a unit of Marauder Horsemen gains fast cav so he is very mobile give the unit flails and flank charge something and watch the bodies fly.

it actually works alittle better with a Tzeench champion as you dont have to keep the unit out of charge range or have it screened. Wth Tzeench in the unit you add ome hitting power as well as having a very mobile spell chucker. In the case of Tzeench you could use a Demonic mount or a steed although a steed slows down the unit

Going offtopic, but anyway characters joining a fast cavalry unit gains the fast cavalry rule (except for the shooting while moving, but that doesn´t matter with the Chaos Characters), how it loos is another thing though...

Well now I may use that tactic... give your big man a few marauder friends and he becomes as agile as a... for the life of me I cannot think of somehting that agile!

oh man now that's just wrong

besides, since jugger is m 7 and mounted marauders are m 8, wouldn't it be better to simply mount him on a daemonic steed? but if that same character rides with knights, the jugger is a better option imo.
