Well i had a dilemma about thinking whether I should really build my all mounted khorne army, or should I edit my undivided normal kind of mortal army some more.... I basically had this dilemma because I, for one, really like the style of speed and power and khorne gives me that I believe. But my friends keep warning how bad it is and how risky it is and making me feel unsure.... So i basically decided to see what this forum's community feel and see your reasons behind it.... So plz do tell me, what you guys think about all mounted armies.... |

I used to play an all mounted force early on and found they honestly can't hold up all that well against a balanced list. They simply don't have enough casualties for me. For instance dwarves with the magic 5 (outnumber 3 ranks and banner) this doesn't include any wounds they might get. so from the start you are down 4(assuming the standard) so now you have to score atleast 4 wounds just to tie against the dwarves high toughness and armor save. most cav units just don't have that kind of killing power. Khorne is an exception as is chosen but other than those 2 I really shy away from knights. I used to use slaanesh (non-chosen) knights all the time and lemme tell you without a flank charge you're screwed. If you are still sold on the all mounted army be sure to take plenty of flankers you need them BADLY to take away those rank bonuses. you might also consider taking some Dragon Ogres or Minotaurs (might as well be mounted) as tehse lend to more breakthrough power. |

If you build the army correct & use Khornate knights I donīt see any problems with the mounted list. |

It would depend on the build, but it is certainly viable. |

My main army is all mounted. Everying is mounted on a warhorse, chaos steed, chariot, flying daemon, or is a flying daemon itself! It does very well, though the new dwarves with their oathstone have given me some problems (no more canceling ranks with a flank charge.... Boooooo!). Even still, I can't just charge blindly at the enemy, as my main army isn't khorne and thus can't take on the enemy front on all the time. I usually spend the first 2-3 turns setting up favourable conditions before I charge. |

I'm a hammer and anvil guy. I like having the solid ranks of infantry alongside the fast, hard-hitting power of heavy cavalry/monsters. |
