Alith Anar, Lord of Ulthuan

Points: ŋ

Mv Ws Bs S T W I A L
5 9 6 5 4 4 10 5 10

Special Rules:

-Lord of shadows: Anar can move ech combat phase even if trapped in combat.

-Chosen of the gods: counts as he had all marks when choosing an army, magic resistance 2, immune to psychology, not affected by spells, attacks or anything that would not affect Nurgle troops.

-Eternal hatred: Alith Anar has eternal hatred

-Lord of Ulthuan: Alith Anar can include in his army units of shadow warriors as core choices and if Alith Anar joins one, that unit is immune to psychology.

Magic Items:

-Armour of the Everchosen: 1+ armour save and no attack can wound Alith Anar with more than a 3+

-Slayer of Kings: if Alith Anar decides to unleas U zuhl, he doubles his attacks. The slayer of Kings ignores armour saves.

-Crown of domination: Anar causes terror and units within 7 inches from him can repeat demoralization throws.

-Eye of Sheerian: 3+ ward save, Anar always attacks first except when fighting against Sigmar.

High Zar of Khorne

I donīt know what the background is for the campaign, but as far as I remember Alith Anar, aka the Shadowking, has never been near any of the items you have put on him here. he had a magical crown & a magical bow & some specialrule which allowed to walk out of combats.

Even if he did become everchosen in some way, I doubt he would have all the items that Archaon has, in fact, no everchosen before Archaon has managed to gather more than 2 of the treasures of Chaos...

Gamewise this character is too powerful. An elf w. T4, (not great, but doesnīt fit w. elf fluff). Slayer of kings combined w. Eternal Hatred (that is if you even take into account that 1īs hit himself, which you havenīt put out here, if not, then the weapon would be really expensive)??

Weird wording on the Crown & why has the range been increased, itīs not like an elven Everchosen would ever be more powerful than a human one, as an elf is never fully corrupted into Chaos & therefore would never benefit from the gods as much as a human.

Moving twice each turn makes him way too fast...

Imo the idea of an elven Everchosen is poor, & even more so when you just try to make an everchosen that is better than Archaon & just take the good things from him, give the guy additional good things & scrap all the negative things.

This is a Cylon. They look way, way, way cooler in BSG
Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy can he have Shadow Warriors in a Chaos Army? And why can he move twice (movement + combat) with an effectively 20 march range?
Secondly, Sigmar doesn't exist.Karl Franz and Valten do, but they don't count as "Sigmar".
As for the toughness, DAs have toughness 4. SHOULD an elven everchosen ever exist, it makes sense. Still, more of a fun, "White Dwarfy" character, not an actually balanced choice.

The Change Chosen

Ok, a little backgound seems in order here....

In the "Hour of the Wolf" campaign, Anar is the Everchosen of Chaos, having turned to the Gods to gain the power to destroy his hated foe Malekith(sp? The dark elf king guy.....). In the campaign he had the sword, helm and eye, but am not sure about the rest.....

As the campaign takes place in the time after the war of the beard, apparently Sigmar is still around (though perhaps in avatar form) as in the cloing fluff he and Anar do trade blows, coming to standstill as Anar was denied the benefits of the Eye of Shereem. Not really sure if Anar should gain first strike or not though........

Anyways, in the fluff Anar is in fact the most powerful Everchosen to date (though since it's an alternative timeline Archy himself doesn't exist) since he actually succeeded in his conquests and God given goals (in short, Chaos kicked a$$ in the campaign.)

Even still, some of the rules seem off.....
