Recently I played a game against a guy with a wood elf army and he was using Orion. No problem so far, we discussed it. The game was a draw and I was very pleased with that result but later I realized something.

At one point Orion and his unit of wild riders lost the combat by 3, the wild riders took their breaktest and passed, but doesn't Orion suffer 1 wound for every point that he is beating with, or is this negated when he is with a unit? Please let me know, because if this where the case I would have beating him and that would mean that I finally won a game against that guy (which I have been after for a while :P ). I can ask him saturday, but I just need to know right now, can somebody put me out of my misery and tell me that I am right :P.
Thanks in advance.

Aekold (who really needs to beat that guy)

Being a wood elf player im afraid to say your friend either cheated or is a bit of a noob ! For each point orion is beatin by in close combat he loses a wound. Unless he is within 6 '' of a wood in which case he loses 1 less wound then he normaly would eg: if orion loses combat by 3 but is witihn 6'' of a wood he would only lose 2 wounds. (he could of got the rules mixed beacuse when orion is acoompined with hounds then he can allocate his wounds to them if he wants)

so congratulations as u did win that game ! :D

I spoke with that player today and he claims that Orion doesn't suffer wounds, since he pas part of the unit wildriders. Since the wildriders aren't unbreakable Orion will follow the unit if it breaks, since when a character is unbreakable, but the unit isn't he will still flee with the unit if it breaks. Ik hope that you all understand what I mean.

I still have my doubts though, but I don't know what woodelf armybook says.

Well...isn't there a rule that unbreakable characters can't join units that aren't unbreakable (and vice versa)? I'm not familiar with orion, so he might have a specific exception to this.
