Well, this is probably a stupid/silly question, but I almost got mad by it, so I just have to ask: You have a herd that's charged by an enemy, and enough Gors to cover the entire front.. The enemy gets enough wounds to kill all gors and some excess wounds aswell.. Do those excess wounds go against the Ungors? Just to tell why I'm unsure: what you need to wound is different between Gors and Ungors, mainly because of the toughness, but also the WS sometimes has something to say.. In addition to this, you can't kill something you're not in basecontact with.. As Herds are mixed units, I think the normal Excess wounds rule won't apply.. I've also played that the Ungors take those extra wounds, but it'll be something like taking 5 wounds on a Salamander, but since it only has 3, those 2 left will kill the Skinks.. And of course, noone plays like this, but noone has ever mentioned it concerning Herds as far as I know.. So what do you guys think? |

I don't see any logical reason why the wounds would not carry over onto the ungors. Any attack that would wound a gor will take out their lesser cousins, and they are both rank and file, rather than a living artilliary peice (or more simply put, monster) and it's crew in the case of the sally. It's not like the enemy hero is going to stop carving his way through the ranks once he reaches your ungors after all..... In the spirit of fairness (if nothing else) I'd remove ungors as casualties should my opponent massacre all of my gors, even should the rules be a little murky in this case. |

Well after looking in the army book i dont think you remove any ungor, it actually says you need to allocate attacks to the differents types due to the different stat lines, thats kinda like saying you when you attack a champion with three attacks and kill him with two the attacks carry over into the unit. |
