Heres a problem I come across awhile back and I want to clear it up because I will be using my "improved" tzeentch army on monday. Here it goes:

I cast green fire on a unit of dwarf warriors with great weapons and shields, and my opponent says they will use their HWs and shields against this attack. I tell him that I red in an FAQ that the caster can choose the weapon used, he shoots it down and says that if it dosn't say it in the spell and that I did not have the FAQ witrh me that he gets to choose what they use. And then the spell makes the unit inflict 4 hits on themselves and all are saved, wasting some of my power dice.

And while we are on the subject of green fire, does it effect champions? Because it says characters are un-effected and I think champions count as characters.

Thank you!

Ok first of all, you were correct. It's the official FAQ from Games Workshop. It says the caster gets to choose with Green Fire. I'd suggest printing the FAQ as people who require proof can be hard-asses.

It does affect champions. Champions are not characters as described in the main rulebook. The major reason why champions even get mentioned as characters is the fact that they can challenge like characters. The spell also mentions that only 'Characters who have joined the unit are not affected'. How can the champion be considered to have joined the unit when he comes with the unit naturally.

Kazgar is correct (I know a bit of a stupid post, but just in case anybody would argue it)

Just remember that champion attacks once.
