hello everyone,I'm pretty new to the fantasy side of things, this current chaos release has been the one to tip the scales. As I learn there are a couple of questions outright that I have. 1 is unit size in w.o.c. armybook says 10+ for unit size, say for marauders. I know that a hundred in a unit is probably impractical but it doesn't say you can't(at least I don't see where it says you can't) 2 is when marauder cavalry have leather armor and shield they are not cavalry anymore ,so do they have there movement affected? What do they become? Please forgive my newbee questions but any advice helps, thanks! |

No problem. 1. Yep no top limit besides usability..... usually depends on what you want teh unit to do. 2. The cease to beceom Fast Calvary which has a few advantages and disadvantages to it...... Main advantage being free reforms and move/shoot with no penalty..... I think the disadvantage is they can't gain ranks(wouldn't know as I've enver seen anyone use try and use them in ranks anyways). |

Overmind is correct, with the following addition: 1: no limit to those units, though more then 3 ranks doesn't give you any advantages at all except for outnumbering. 2: fast cavalry doesn't have ranks indeed. advantages for fast cavalry is - free reform during a move. let's say your unit is 5 models wide, but there is a passage of 1 model wide. Then the fast cavalry can go through that passage without movement restrictions (except that they never can go further then there normal movement). not fast cavaly has to use one turn to reform, one turn to go through the passage and one turn to reform again. - fast cavalry can shoot/throw 360 degrees as long as there is no model of their own in between the unit and the model. |

Well they still get -1 to hit, they're just capable of shooting after marching, unlike most troops. Fast Cav is a really useful rule to have, it's the next step down from flyers basically IMO and better than the increased save. Using fast cav really is an art though. |

& better yet, our horsemen donīt suffer any movementpenalties due to both ranged weapons being throwing weapons! I agree though, see no reason to use them as medium cavalry. |

100 Marauders, That would be cool! Marauder Horsemen probably fit Medium cavalry in terms if fluff but yeah for the game Fast Cavalry is a lot better |
