Gave lord book of secrets and spell familiar! I can't wait to try Pandemonium with Hellcannon.

I would stick Conjoined Hum on the Hero. Imo one of the best upgrades in the game, since you can use it after rolling the dice.

Yeah it's just my luck at rolling sucks and I'd fail the stupidity test.

Yeah and I wouldn't use it on a Sorcerer Lord imho.

If you fail it, you can't cast mate.

A couple more tweaks, pur Morslieb on the lord and gave him bloodcurdling roar with stream of corruption while I have the normal sorc with Death's Head. I'm hoping the gifts and Death's Head can help me whittle heavy calv and the like down.

Yeah in general it will help you quite good. Bear in mind that if you aim the Hellcanon towards the knights a lot it will thake the punch out of them when they arive imho.

Killax, you seem to have some experience with stone throwers. Do you have good luck with them? Is it extremely difficult to hit something like say heavy calv, a chariot, or something on a monster base? I am excited to use it but a little nervous too.

Stone throwers are very so so. If you face an army with a lot of units and/or models, then even if you miss your target you are likely to hit something else, but if they are a small compact force, like Chaos cavalry, it can be hard to hit something without the luck of a direct hit.

Not perse fantastic luck, but the sight of it for your oppontes seriously gets on his nerves.

Guessing range is something I'm very good of, a couple of small tips how to aim at cav, but depands how your opponents sets them up:

If they are near a warmachine, larger unit, monster (either, the whole army is quite consitant of infantry but has a break unit or 2) aim at that first, if you miss, you'll have a small chance to kill some knights ;), if you hit, -2 knights in most cases blows the punch out of it. Knowing you'll have a bigger chance to miss than hit can be used in your potential.

If the whole army consists out of knights, just aim at the unit in the middle. You'll have a 50/50 chance you'll hit the knight unit to the left or right of it.

But again, thake some practice in guessing distances, now it may sound stupid, but generally thaking a messure from from different angles will help you a lot in this part. Don't do it whilst battling ofcourse.

Cheers,

Thanks for the help/advice! I guess as long as it 2 units the whole game its probably worth it. Crippling a unit of heavy calv or elite infantry is all I need it to do. Basically, I am hoping the magic and gifts along with the hellcannon can take the edge off of what I'm facing.

This is the end result of my tinkering and play testing. The hellcannon is cool and usually makes its points by the end of the game. Tzeentch casters are wonderful and the puppet is really quite amazing. If you use a lot of magic I think its really worth the points. Death's Head and Stream have both been mildly useful and seem to usually be worth their points. Bloodcurdling Roar always seems to make a mess of at least one heavy calv unit by the end of the game.
