The Banner of Rage reads that, "The unit with this banner has the Frenzy special rule..." Now, I narturally assumed that any characters joining the unit would also be frenzied. After all, they are a part of that unit and are standing under the same banner, right? Another warriors player disagrees with me and says that it only affects the unit and NOT any characters that join it. Who's right? |

characters that join the unit are part of the unit, yes the character gains frenzy |

Frenzy as a rule passes from unit to character, doesn't matter where it comes from, so you are right my friend. |

Not necessarily, see Page 78. "If the unit is affected by Hatred/Frenzy [...] a Non-Frenzied/Hating character must move along with that unit but does not benefit from any bonus unless he is affected by Frenzy/Hatred himself. Just so we cleared that up. He is of course "considered to be part of that unit in all respects" and so anything which affects the unit as a whole will affect him too. The Banner of Rage, for example. |

this is slightly related, if a slaanesh character joins a knight unit either marked with a different mark or unmarked are they immune to fear, terror and panic aswell? |

Well, the knight unit causes fear so they wouldn't be effected by fear, and terror would ONLY cause fear. Not sure really about the panic thing though.. |

no, because there is nothing whatsoever why one would think like that: th mark is an item/enhancement for a character (i.e. a single model), the banner is an enhancement for a unit (i.e. a group of models considered a whole for gaming purposes). As the char joins the unit he becomes part of of that unit, the knight unit can join the character, but they do not become part of the character...if you see my point, same reason why a unit cannot benefit from most magic itmes bought for characters |

Yup spot on, Slaanesh character would not effect an unmarked unit, by a Slaanesh unit would effect an unmarked character. |
