Hey CoteC, just joined after lurking around for a few days. I'm trying to start a Fantasy army after playing 40k for a while and not finding it as tactical as Fantasy seems. So here goes my 1000 point army list that I'm hoping I can build up. Edit: Internet crapped on me, sorry. Here's the list I was thinking of. Chaos Sorcerer: 220 -Level 2 Wizard, Mark of Tzeench -Disk of Tzeench, Infernal Puppet, Collar of Khorne Chaos Sorcerer: 185 -Level 2 Wizard, Mark of Tzeench -Disk of Tzeench, Power Familiar Chaos Warriors: 244 -12x, Full Command -Shields, Halberds, Mark of Slaanesh Marauders: 180 -25x, Mark of Slaanesh, Light Armor, Shields, Full Command Hounds: 30 -5x Hounds: 30 -5x Chaos Spawns: 110 -2x |

I can haz a cheesburger? :lol: You need a 1K list? What kind? there is magic heavy and cav, preforming really well imho. Examples: lv2 Tzeentch Sorcerer with book of secrets. 2 units marauder horseman 2 unit marauders death knight unit... Exalted on Jugger 2x 6 Marauder Horseman 2x 6 Warhounds 2x 5 knights (include mark/command) Cheers, |

Was thinking, I could also Drop the marauders down to 20 strong, and lose the spawn to get another marauder block. So have: Marauders: 150 -20x, FC, Light Armor, Shields, Mark of Slaanesh Marauders: 150 -20x, FC, Light Armor, Shields, Mark of Slaanesh instead of Marauders: 180 -25x, FC, Light Armor, Shields, Mark of Slaanesh Chaos Spawn: 110 -2x |

Second list looks better I agree. Also at the minute your first sorcerer has 60 points of magic items. For disc riders you are probably off with power familiar and eye for the second disk and puppet and enchanted shield for the first one. |

I'm thinking I need to drop either the Eye or a group of Hounds to drop under, so I'm thinking the Eye. |

Difficult call, 3+ ward against shooting is very useful when going cannon hunting, I would definitely keep the hounds regardless. In a 1000 point game the puppet is far less likely to be useful than in a 2000 point game as well so it's an alternative to dropping the eye. You could drop it get the biting blade for him and get an extra hound or marauder with the left over points. Other than that the list looks very good for 1000 points. |

I'm not much of one for using magic...yet...but I like the look of the 2nd list as well. More bodies w/ the ability to make saves means a little more ability to weather some shooting. It also gives to a little more CR once you get into combat. I'm assuming that your Disc riders will be flying about, throwing magic willy-nilly and hunting down the odd war machine and small unit. If so I would definitely go for the Eye on which ever model you decide will be your general. It's a real pisser when your general becomes a pin cusion because he's off on his own zapping things. :( I'll have to agree w/ kerill: the puppet would seem less useful in a 1000 point game, but, hey, if you're using a lot of magic and you run up against an opponent who does the same (shuddering @ the thought of 3 Warlock Engineers), then it may come in usefull. Even Empire Wizards are cheap. I'd maybe go Eye and magic weapon for your general and Puppet/some type of familiar to go along w/ Enchanted Shield on the other. |
