Yea I'm going to a tourney here in Ireland at the end of January and they may be bringing a comp system into it.

I'd be real keen on seeing the system or the players pack if you get a link

It's not decided yet. When ukko gets the final cut he will be giving the details, and after the weekend I will give a full report.

Hi All,

Just to clear up some ambiguities. Upon reading the opponents battle report (who was playing chaos dwarves) he states that Tirrith rolled 4 hits then rolled a 12 for strength. Hence the Black Orcs where removed. The report was on the same forum.

Hope that helps

Nice to hear than Nethershadow, sounds like a win as it should be then.

Again, I've got love for any WoC player who does well :D

Cheers,

Glad to hear of WoC doing well at such a competitive tournament like the AU Masters.

To everyone who doesn't like his list, I suggest you take a look at what the opponents lists were. This tournament had strict comp system and frankly I think this list is very lucky for getting such a high comp score.

WoC will always get a high comp score 'cause it is almost impossible to cheese out.

I think that notion is silly especially in an atmosphere where players are using such a in depth comp system.

Just because a fully cheesed chaos list doesn't compare as well to some of the other max out armies doesn't mean the entire chaos army is soft. Time will tell what combos end up being the strongest but for now I think the following are signs of a hard list:

1. Dragon
2. Multiple units of chaos knights
3. Heavy Tzeentch magic

I'm now starting to see comp based system turning up in UK events and in the US which is long over due but great to see.I'm not sure what the rest of europe is doing but i hope they have followed the same path.

US no longer was comp scores at GTs.

Having never been to any tournament before, I was wondering if anyone had seen used what I'd call a 'reverse comp' system? Basically, assign each players a comp score, with 0pts being best (uncheezy) and Xpts being ultra-hard cheese; comp points being used to assign pairs (thus a cheezy list would usually face other cheezy lists, until the good players with comp-friendly lists get a few wins in and 'catch up'...), where X could be worth anything (the equivalent of 1, 2 or however many wins the organiser wants). Then at the end just don't factor the comp points in the final tally to see who ended up best player... ?
