After playing my regular mixed army for long enough, I have decided to try something different and with a little more flavor. This army is designed to be friendly so let me know what you guys think of both the choices and the effectiveness of the army as a whole. Sorc Lord: MoN, lvl 4, Steed, Chaos Runesword, Chaos Runeshield, Word of Agony- 454 Sorcerer: MoN, Book of secrets, Dispel Scroll- 155 Festus- 185 25 Marauders: MoN, Command- 200 25 Marauders: MoN, Command- 200 5 Marauder Horsemen: Flails- 75 5 Warhounds- 30 5 Chaos Knights: MoN, Command, Banner of Rage- 315 14 Chosen: MoN, Command, Favor of the Gods, Rapturous Standard- 385 Chaos Chariot- 120 Warsrhine- 130 The basic plan is to pepper the enemy with magic by spamming Buboes and then one big spell per turn. In my head I pictured having another hard hitting unit like dragon ogres, but they couldn't fit and instead I am hoping the chariot will make the difference where it is needed. If it wasn't clear enough Festus is going in the chosen and the Lord with the Knights. |

It's a kewl list. I'd make some mild adjustments. Drop the Word of Agony(too expensive for one use only), the Champion on the Knights (not needed with the 15A they already have as well as the Horses 10A). Get another unit of Horsemen. I would advise more Knights over those Chosen, but something tells me you will turn that advise down. So all good. |

Yea I guess 60 points is a bit expensive for protecting my lord from unwanted challenges. I will play with a few more options and see if I can trim more to fit that unit of dragon ogres I wanted. You got me figured out on the knights :P . I am well aware that they are more effective than foot sluggers 95% of the time but I this army would have to get spanked a few times before I give them up. |

Hi Gundamfly, Really like what you have listed. Did a flanking unit of trolls ever enter the equation? My vision is these beasts escourting their lord into battle. Particulary a Lord with the MoN. Plus they get a roll for regen of 2 wounds or more which isn't bad option. Anyways please let us know how it goes. NS |

I could see fitting in a unit of 3-4 Trolls in the army. They are cheap and not too terrible. I would however, never put any type of magic caster with them. One failed stupidity roll(and you will fail plenty) and you are down 4 power dice for that turn. I should play a game with them this weekend. I'll write it up in this thread. |

Your only down four if you put the Level 4 in there. Just make sure to keep one of your Sorcerers nearby. |
