I'd love some feedback on the following list. I figured i want to use as many warriors as possible along with knights and ogres. I hope they will combine into something useful. I've tried not spending too much points on characters since the army is pretty small as it is, but i do want to use magic so there's still 3 sorcerers in there. Slaanesh lore seems to fit this list the best and also the slaanesh lower level spells seem to be the most useful to me. 1 sorcerer will be nurgle marked to add variety, another magic lore and also fluffiness since the ogres are marked nurgle :rolleyes: 1 Exalted Hero of Slaanesh Bloodcurdling roar, mounted, barding, shield, general 156 Pts Generic, fighting hero that rides with a unit of knights and tries to use his bloodcurdling roar as much as possible. I haven't tried the roar in a game, but it sounds very useful to me. 1 Chaos Sorcerer of Nurgle Stream of corruption, warrior familiar, level 2, mounted, barding 196 Pts 1 of 3 sorcerers, rides with other unit of knights and uses stream of corruption before he charges with knights. 1 Chaos Sorcerer of Slaanesh Dispel scroll, power familiar, level 2 175 Pts 2nd sorcerer, will join a block of warriors for protection and try to use spells offensively before getting into CC. 1 Chaos Sorcerer of Slaanesh Power stone, level 2. 145 Pts 3rd sorcerer with power stone for added offensiveness. 14 Chaos Warriors of Slaanesh with full command Shields and handweapons 264 Pts Will be used in 3x5 formation. Defensive build with shields since i think the warriors need the armor save to make it into CC and also they seem to be effective enough in CC anyway. 1 sorcerer joins here. 14 Chaos Warriors of Slaanesh with full command Shields and handweapons 264 Pts Same as above, another sorcerer in here. 20 Chaos Marauders of Slaanesh with full command Shields and light armor. 150 Pts I will try to use these in combination with something else, a block of warriors or a unit of ogres. The cheap marauders will add rank bonus and soak up some of the damage.. 5 Chaos Knights of Slaanesh Musician 220 Pts Kniggits for killing stuff.. what more can i say about them. 5 Chaos Knights of Slaanesh Musician 220 Pts More kniggits. I figure mark of slaanesh will help them a bit if they get shot, since they will be immune to panic at least. 4 Ogres of Nurgle Great weapons, chaos armor, musician. 240 Pts Nurgle will help them survive any shooting they might encounter and also help them hit in CC since they've got a low WS of 3. 4 Ogres of Nurgle 2nd hand weapon, chaos armor, musician. 220 Pts Same as above but with more and smaller weapons. Casting Pool: 9 + 1 power stone Dispel Pool: 5 + 1 dispel scroll Models in Army: 70 Total Army Cost: 2250 Let me know what you think of this :mellow: |

Generaly, I like it, but dunno what type of a steed he rides (maybe Slaaneshy one?) and I'd give him a flail in that case as a must. |

Looks good enough to me! Would give the Exalted Fury of the Bloodgod and just flail, cheaper and will make the unit really awesome vs heavy magic imho. Appart from that, looks like a good build up. |

Give your general a Flail. Take the Stream off the Sorcerer, one use only and will be barely any damage usually. Also swap out you Power Stone for the Book of Secrets. Why have +2PD for one turn when you can have +1 every turn. I would try and make points for Hounds, and to get those Ogres all bearing Great Weapons. A good start is dropping the mark on your general since he will benefit from it anyway because of his unit. After that is down to you. Maybe drop the Warrior blocks down to 6x2 formations. |
