I love the fluff for Slaanesh, but voted Khorne; here's why. Lets assume trad colour schemes (yawn) and an army that'll be big blocks of warriors pretty much out of the box. All those ranks of plate armour, fur cloaks and spikey helmets just yells Khorne. Undivided would be a very close second, but the colours for that are less fixed, other than iron or black. To look really good, Nurgle, Slaanesh & Tzeentch schemes all require some degree of customisation and conversion, not to mention either a very good or a novel colour scheme. OOTB warriors with pink or bright blue armour just look wrong IMO; Nurgle might just pull it off with a rusty scheme and careful choice of heads, but those bulky bodies still look too healthy. |

Khorne and Tzeentch for me. Khorne for the brutal militaristic look, and Tzeentch for the sheer craziness and conversion possibility. |

Had to be khorne / nurgle for me such strong and powerful colours for khorne and ive always really enjoyed paintings muted earthtones so nurgle has always been fun, not to mention who doesnt like a bit of death and decay ;) |

Some of the most outstanding armies and paint jobs I've seen for WoC have definitely been Nurgle, with Tzeentch being a close second. |

From a modelling perspective I think that Nurgle is most rewarding. For painting as well I really like the more natural palettes these models feature. Diseased skins are a neat canvas that allows you to play with warm and cold washes and sharp red contrasts. |

I like Tzeench and nurgle both are great fun to convert and paint. The Tzeench theme from warhammer online is allways in my mind when painting loved it since I first saw it. So my vote goes to them |

I'd say Nurgle: Rusty, decayed, splatter, flesh ,blood and other fluids, creepy! :) |

Khorne and Undivided, maybe Nurgle with a good paint job and minimal conversion are best represented by the models I think.... I just think to properly represent how I imagine a Slaanesh army then you would need alot of conversion work! And a Tzeentch army should require uber conversions just for the lulz really :D |

Rot, glorious rot! I voted Nurgle. To be honest all of the paint schemes can be amazing, no one mark is any less plausible to look fantastic than another, so it really just depends on personal preference. And I really like the green mixed with browns and a little bit of red so the Lord of Disease and Pestilence wins for me! |

Khorne looks best IMO. But Nurgle has more conversion possibilities making for a potentially awesome army-look. |

Slaanesh offers some really good painting choices as you can use colours you would not normally use on your models B) |

Best unit I've seen so far was a unit of Slaanesh marauders with feather boas and whips... yes heavily converted unit, but never laughed so hard in my life as when they were set up :P |

Tzeentch, due to the colours and rampant mutations. Of course, the other Gods also grant mutations, but the Changer of Ways usually causes more :D - Loran |

I think each have their merits; I used to jump around between the four gods in terms of appeal when I played 40k. I think that Khorne and Undivided are portrayed relatively similar; Khorne just being more spiky with lots of blood. There's not a terrible lot, I think, that Khorne has as being unique besides the red/blood factor and his sigil. Skulls are everywhere with each god. However, I like the appeal of Khorne a lot in that it emphasizes martial strength and brutality in a way the others cannot. I'm not a terribly huge fan of Nurgle aesthetic when every model is bloated and covered in sores. I much prefer a shoddy, rusted appearance; like the entire army is captured in a state of rot. Discolored banners, rusting armor, insect imagery, etc. I like the idea of perpetual decay rather than "greenstuff 'em fat and bubbly." The Nurgle Daemon models, however, I absolutely love. I do like Slaanesh and Tzeentch, but I find that they're more subtle in their attraction than the other two. They both have the potential to be extreme, what with lots of mutation and gaudy colors, but they lack 'punch' for me. I used to like Slaanesh more before the new Daemonettes; now there's really nothing attractive about them at all, and they're supposed to be alluring and seductive. Instead, I find them too alien and monstrous. |
