Well the face looked like it was finished from the pic you posted... I really did not see that as being a work in progress coat of paint, meaning you're a LOT better at painting than I originally thought. Maybe you can post what still needs to be done with your models after we see the picture. and once again AMAZING PAINTING! |

If you are in the US you can get them at most hobby shops, near the model cars and such. Look for the Testors Paint section, and find the can of Testors Dull Coat. It is a spray on. If overseas I am not sure, but I imagine in a similar setting. Good luck, and repost some pics if you hit them with this stuff. Though I really like the glossy effect on the juggers armour. |

Some small updates of my progress. Started painting my new Chaos Knights and one of the horsies are done with exception to the basing: Posted Image Don't know if I am going to keep doing the clear varnish on the armour or not, When I look at the pictures they look like ten times shinier than IRL, but it looks pretty good IRL. ofc I wont use the varnish on non metalic parts unless I get some matt varnish instead. My Chaos Orc Champ is in progress, still need to polish a little more on him but I am pretty satisfied with the armour. Posted Image My Chaos Sorc. is taking form, the base is done and I feel kind of good about the magic "flames" or what to call it. Posted Image Going to re-upload a picture of Grimgore since I felt that the old one wasn't that good. here goes: Posted Image(and no I yet to get a matte varnish. And last but not least my mate hooked me up with this sweet Chaos Sorc of Tzeench with disc conversion that I will have to get to painting sometime soon =): Posted Image |

Things have been slow recently but I have made some progress at least and I converted my Chaos Knight champion and musician, the musician I just gave the head from the Khorne champion on foot from GW”s head (the one without a helmet) since I feel that blowing a horn while wearing a full plated helmet would make it kind of difficult using it =) The Champion got some “mayor” overhauling…well he got the Khorne Lord on Juggernauts Helmet head and I managed to green stuff a pretty decent cloak for him, I say decent because it was the first time I have actually made a cloak and fur, thanks goes to my mate Chrome who is a god sent when it comes to green stuff and he taught me an easy technique where you put the green stuff in a plastic bag with some vegetable oil or something similar to it and from that point you can just go crazy with thinning out the green stuff until you get the result you are looking for =) the fur I actually managed on my own(not that it was that hard lol). Here is the the result: Posted Image Posted Image I also came to the conclusion that I will not keep using gloss varnish on metal (painted metal) parts since i feel that it gives it a to unnaturally feel to the model, so from now on you wont see any more gloss models from me =) |

You don't need testor's, krylon matte spray also works very well and costs less for a lot more spray. Also what kind of camera are you using? Most allow you to turn the flash off or you can always use masking tape. |

I am using a Nikon D40 ;) and yes I can turn of the flash, the first picture is without flash and the second is with, did not care much for the colors to be right when just shooting pictures of the green stuff. I never use flash while taking photos of my paint work =) Thanks for the tips. |

Is the Orc champ inspired from the Warcraft 3 lore? It looks awesome and that was my first thought of it. |

So the red is getting close to done, pretty happy with the shadows and hi-lights so far. Gave him a pair of green eyes, because it's so dreamy ;D Posted Image |
