Ungors, originally 4 of them but then after looking at your unit I decided to add several other beastmen minis: 1 wargor, the old bestigor champion, the bestigor from the chariot and one of the new bestigors. I hope you don't mind I kind of steal your idea.

You can look at my front rank to see what I mean about ungors:

Regards,

Cool! I don't mind at all.

Here's how the banner/reds are done:

Step by step of the Reds (this goes for the banner too basically). All steps (except edging and wash) are airbrushed on:

- Primed black
- Basecoat of Vallejo Model Color Black Red
- Washed with badab black with a bit of Didis Magic Ink Black in it (from the Warstore)
- Highlite of 50/50 dark flesh and blood red
- "Glaze" spray of blood red mixed with some baal red (it's not an exact mix - basically I'm trying to keep it a bit translucent)
- Highlite of Blood Red + Blazing Orange 50/50
- Highlite of Blood Red, Blazing Orange and Golden Yellow (1:1:1)
- Highlite of Blood Red, Blazing Orange and Golden Yellow (1:1:2)
- Edged with Khador Highlite (P3 paints)
- Glaze/Wash of my "Khorne Wash" - it's 2 parts baal, 1 part badab, with some P3 red ink mixed in (I pretty much eyeball it) to give it a nice richness and cover without being too opaque

Finished up my Exalted Champion on Jugger - he looks better in person, camera doesn't seem to like this one.

I love the mixed marauder/ beasts unit, brings back memories when Chaos had everything in one book! I plan on making a large marauder unit with flails filled out with some odd stuff. Probally a two-headed ogre with a flail as unit filler. My only critique is that you might want to consider changing the color of your bases. Brown does not contrast nor compliment the red theme of your force. I would have gone black on the bases myself. Other than that great work, I look forward to seeing more in the future!

Hm, interesting! I used to use black but was recently told it looked like I didnt bother to paint the base edges :D

I think brown base edges are best. They're not there to compliment, they're there to be invisible. :)

The Marauders with Great Weapons with Bestigors in it is such a cool unit! An awesome looking army so far!
