So I just received an email (most of you probably got it as well) that GW intend to release a plastic kit for a Daemon Prince. Now I know that the DP is pretty lackluster in the current incarnation, but lets face it, the model looks pure badass and he price tag isn't too steep either. Now to my question: When I looked at the pictures of the sprues, it seems to me that you get three torsos, a four arms that could work in WHF (and two that probably won't), three heads, a set of wings and a fair amount of "bling"... but only two legs. Except for the legs, it seems like there are enough parts for two daemons and with a bit of fun with GS, one could actually get two daemons for the price of one. Is this a correct assumption or is there any other vital part of which we'll only get one (set)? |

Well... the wings are a limitation, I'd guess. Where did you see pics of the sprues? |

Looking at the sprue I wonder if what you get is two fronts, one more 40k and the other one with the chaos star. You then get one back which can take the wings, the 40K backpack thing, or a bunch of the usual skulls and spikes if you don't want to fly. I personally think the model is rubbish but it probably going to be the best alternative available unless you buy non-GW models. |

@InsideReticle: The pics are on Games Workshop's website. @Doom Duck: Yes you are indeed correct. Didn't look that closely at the torsos. Might still buy one though for the hell of it. |

I actually like it as it allows for a lot more conversions than the metal model. I see a lot of possibilities with it. I would have liked better looking heads though... Gonna have to build a bird head. |

To each their own, but I think it looks sweet! I especially like the swords it comes with. The legs look rather small, though, and out of proportion. |

I still think if I ever need a DP I'll either try and sculpt my own or convert from a lord of cahnge |

I was hyped for the Daemon Prince release two years ago when the book came out and I was ignorant of the ways of the Gods. Now I know, whatever path of Chaos you take be it the road to spawndom or princehood.....you still suck no matter what ;p |

I do agree the Kairos Fateweaver model looks pretty sweet, significantly better than the old Lord of Change. |

The head on the 40k DP is the best by far. The head with the vertical horns looks terrible! I'm gonna get one for my Iron Warriors but not for my WoC, Possibly for my Daemons though... |

I love the new Daemon Prince so much that I'm actually using t in games! Which says something, given how poor they are. |

I find it unusual that some of the builds GW made for the fantasy DP was without wings; from what I gather fantasy is far less WYSIWYG than 40k (I come from a 40k background), so do you guys think it matters? I.e. would people find trouble with you for making a fantasy DP without wings, especially given that DP's come with flight by default? |
