Well, with the new 8th edition rules I will be bringing a unit of 6 trolls with my revised list. Problem is that I do not like the current chaos trolls made by GW. I do not want to spend time converting and kit bashing either. I just looked at the GAMEZONE chaos trolls and they are meh. I actually like their Orc and Goblin trolls much better. Has anyone used any other miniatures that look cool? I look forward to your comments! |

I have an assortment of trolls that I use in both my O&G army and my chaos army. Use whatever you like the look of, it's your stuff. |

Buy river trolls, paint them to match your army. If you really feel driven add some chaos bits, or stick some of the sprue extras on some of them to chaos them up a bit. Honestly, I'm thinking of buying 2 boxes and just avoiding the fish arm. They're trolls, and nobody will care. Just get a kit you like. And if they do... they will be the kind of person nobody would play with anyhow. |

I use some very old 4:th edition trolls, only have 3 though so I just bought Gamezone trolls to complement them,(the greenskin ones though, I agree they look better). An Idea I've had is to use the Ogre Kingdoms Yhetee models for trolls, but that mean I would need to start all over on the unit, now I only have to paint 2 trolls. |

I should also throw out there that I think the Ogre Kingdoms' gorger's look pretty sweet. |

I think looking on Ebay can hold some pretty good results. I usually find things from the days of Rogue Trader! I think that using Gorgers is good, as Trolls and Ogres have stats that are pretty close. |

Thanks for the advice! I think I might go with the Gamezone Orc and Goblin trolls, they are wicked looking models! |

I was thinking of grabbing a LotR troll, but they may be a bit too big. Maybe as the Troll King though? I may do the river troll idea, especially since I'm running mono-nurgle and they look gross. >: ) |

River trolls could work with a minor amount of spiky chaos bits added. I'm not at all a fan of Gamezone models. |

The new plastic River Trolls look great and are what I'm going with. Being plastic they are easily converted also |
