I'm looking to make some of my Marauders with Great weapons and I was wondering if anyone had attempted this? Knew a good method? Could link to a tutorial or site with lots of pics? I was thinking of using Flails and trim them down and glue on extra warrior axe/hammer/mace heads but dont know how this will look. Any ideas or suggestions? I am also thinking of getting a few boxes of Bestigors (since they are armed with GWs) and proxy them as Marauders.. I need your help. Thanks. |

You said it yourself - the easiest way is to use the two-handed flail kit in the marauder box and then simply glue on a trimmed warrior weapon or the top of the flail. Or, just use the two handed flail kit as it comes with the marauder box. I'm sure none of your opponents will disagree if you clearly states in the beginning of the game that they are suppose to be Great weapons. Best of luck with your project and be sure to post some pictures of your progress! |

The trimmed weapon on top of a flail looks very good and is suuuuuper easy. It takes no putty skill, and is quite convincing if you're even a little careful. I can put up pictures later. Thus far I haven't even had 1 I've needed to GS gaps on, and they look quite good. Promising pictures (crappy ones) at some point soon. Edit: Promised Picture posted. Posted Image |

Thanks for the pics! They dont look bad after all. One thing I'm curious about. What are they attached too? The square wooden blocks with bits of cork? What are they? |

lol, i put those together so I could keep my hands off the model while painting. I've found that if they're just on the bases then I have a tendendy to grab the models and rub bits of paint off while I'm working, so the blocks are a new thing I'm trying to prevent that. Also I strongly suggest pinning, otherwise they are vbery apt to just falling off. |

I use something similar but I was looking for a better option than what I am using now. Was curious as to what/how yours are made. These are mine. Just two soda bottle lids glued together. Posted Image |

Mine are just a $2 big bag of 1" wooden cubes I grabbed at a craft store with some 1/4" cork glued on top. My absolute favorite things though are the oversized sloping safety caps that come on bigger advil bottles. Sadly I just don't take enough drugs it would seem so I've only got about 2 of em. |
