Hey guys,

Being as I have a fully Khorne themed army, the new Blood crusher models have certainly caught my attention (and with them, the older blood letters). I realize we aren't supposed to have daemons in our army, per se, but they seem so darn thematic for a khorne force!

- what could these 2 sets of models "counts as" (would you typically have a problem with this, or would your opponents?). I believe Ive seen Dragon Ogres mentioned in another thread.

Also, in the new white dwarf one of the blood letter units has a really cool Khorne icon, which is dripping blood and has a couple of skulls up top. I can't tell - does that come in the blood letter kit, or is it a bitz from another source? It would look great in my army!

I can definitely see Blood Crushers being Dragon Ogres. The Letters themselves (to be represented as well as possible) would need to be naked Marauders with Great Weapons.

I use bloodletters as Chosen. Kraytirous and I have disagreed on this point before, due to their complete lack of armor, but it's really up to you what you want. If you're really talented with green stuff or plasticard you could make some sort of armor for them.

Forsaken are also an option, but since I don't know many people who choose to use them it's perhaps not the best option.

Blood crushers as dragon ogres is a great idea and one I'm about to steal.

I went to the GW website and noted that the BC's come with 50mm bases, the dragon ogres come with 40mm. Problem?

I plan to get them as a impromptu unit of exalted heroes and change the bloodletters for old metal chaos knights. they will be the ultimate in heavy hitters 8 st5 attacks each plus a stomp with a 1+ save 537pts.
The dripping Khorne standard comes from the bloodletter box

Not necessarily. You can probably fit them on 40mm bases, and with some clever base construction a la our very own mrtn (as can be seen in his army diary here), you can make it so your 40mm bases fit into 50mm movement tray bases. Pretty slick, eh?

I'm using Plastic Chaos Knights on the plastic Juggers with each one counting as 2 Chaos Knights. Haven't had any issues so far, and they look awesome, just need to paint them!
