Hi guys, i got my WoC stuff finally, and i want about 18 Chaos Warriors with halberds. The problem is, how do i convert them? I've seen the conversions with the Knights lances, but i don't have that many knights! :P I really want it to be plastic by the way. But any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance Theo |

You can get a few halberds out of putting an axe head or similar on the end of an unused banner pole. |

I've purchased two boxes of halberds from GW. They are okayish, if you want it done quick and don't care that there are only ten in a box and five different kinds. However, if you picked up a sheet of that plasticard stuff, it wouldn't be too difficult to make your own, more inspired pieces. I've assembled one unit with them so far, and ended up using the knight's lance for the champion. It looks way cooler then the other ones and makes him stick out. May just be a bit more work. I'd maybe keep your knight lances for champions or heroes, since they look so bad ass, and then buy the bitz box or use plasticard! Someone around here must have an example of a plasticard halberd. |

I picked up some of the lances from the Chaos Knights set. A little quick cutting and glueing and they look like great chaosy halberds!! |

Banner pole, lances, both works, I know some people used halberds from the old chaos warrior sprue to get halberds on the current warriors. |

I bought the metal halberds after making around 15 or so and I have to say that I am VERY pleased with the result. Making your own is fun, but the result doesn't really reach the same level of badassness as the metal ones that you buy in boxes of 10. One could think that a piece of metal on the side of the model would unbalance it, but they are actually still very stable. |

Chaos Knight Lances if you have them to spare work really well and better than having to scratchbuild your own. I just bought mine from GW. The metal Warrior Halberds arent bad looking and its far LESS work than any other option. Its a bit expensive ($12 USD for 10) but well worth the ease of use. |

Yeah the metal halberds are sweet. Fit in well with the look of the warriors. |
