Just looking over the magic items again when I came across Collar of Khorne. Am I correct in thinking this item now gives a 6+ ward against everything and a 4+ ward against magic? All for just 25 points? |

Fury of the Blood God, while constricting the amount of magic items you can take (to none), gives you a 2+ ward save against magic. Period! |

Pardon my ignorance - does a Magic Resistance value allow you to save versus spells that state no saving throw is allowed? |

Yes but only if the spell inflicts wounds, if it kills outright Magic Resistance doesn't help.... |

another cool thing about magic resistance is that it transfers to the unit the character is with. So that can give some extra protection. I use a exhalted BSB w/ KOK w/ my trolls for the re-roll and magic resist against flaming attacks. |

If it says no armour yes you can take a MR ward save. If it says no saves of any kind no MR no ward no nothing. Things like Dweller's Below, Final transmutation, Pit of shades, give no saves of any kind. |

Does MR work against flaming attacks then? I can't see anywhere that says it does. |

I presume he means Flaming attacks from spells (which are the most common type of fire damage) |

It's a pretty nifty item but now there are better ward saves available in the BRB. |

Unless of course the flamming attacks are the result of Brettonian Bowmen or the Banner of Eternal Flame or Dragon Breath or Salamanders or . . . ;) |
