I would like to field a Battle Standard Bearer with the Book of Secrets, Dispel Scroll and the Third Eye. I am assuming now that the Book classifies you as becoming a spell caster that I can do this? Given that Arcane Items are specifically Wizard only, an the Book of Secrets makes you a wizard, there doesn't seem to be a problem there, however, things are a little less clear with the Third Eye of Tzeentch. The Third Eye specifically states Sorcerer only and I am wondering if that means "unless you are a Sorcerer Lord or Sorcerer you cannot take it" or whether it means "you need to be a Spellcaster" because it occurred to me that a Sorcerer is not necesserily a Wizard but is allowed to take "Wizard only" items. I guess what I am asking is are these two terms synonymous? |

sorcerers are a type of wizard; if they weren't then they would not be allowed to take arcane items because only wizards can take arcane items. Ergo, if my exalted becomes a lvl 1 wizard he de facto becomes a sorcerer since the terms are synonymous with each other. |

Is it my imagination or is this becoming a fairly popular Hero-kit? B) |

When it comes to saving points, as is the case with small games, it is a very good kit, although if I had the choice, I'd probably spread the tasks between several characters. All eggs in one basket and such you know. =) |

In larger point games, have someone else be the BSB. ;) Otherwise, it's a fairly nice setup. |

This guy is good but he's too expensive to be the bsb at 1000pts because then you dont have enough left over to take a worthwhile general. I would add collar of khorne on to him and simply make him your general. |
