Hey guys. I wanted to post this here as I am just in the early planning stages and need to know if this is a cool idea for a Warshrine or stop before I invest any money into it and how feasible it will be to model. I want to add a Warshrine to my army and I was initially going to buy a Corpse Cart but really dont like the model all that much and cant really justify buying it because of it... So I've been trying to think of other ideas.... In front a Chaos Warrior stands, from his outstretched hand slowly swings a foul censor. Marching behind him 4 Warriors bare aloft a shrine (an ark if you will) to the Chaos Gods. The front guy will be made from a Chaos Warrior Champion body with some kind of censor in his outstretched hand. The 4 Warriors will have the metal great weapons with their weaponheads removed and turned into bearer poles for the shrine. I dont know what to make for the shrine itself yet. I could go with an ark-like box with a tentacle creeping out from under the lid or something like a foul cauldron of disease (it is a Nurgle army) or a tiny Bronze Nurgling... Thoughts? Suggestions? |

I think Nurgle imagery uses a bell as well, doesn't it? Your guys could be holding up a small artefact with bell in the middle of it. When it strikes, it gives a blessing from the gods. You could maybe even put a nurgling up there with a hammer to ring a ding? |

I think it sounds like a good idea. Not sure you need the metal arms, can't you just use banner poles or something like that? |

The bell and Nurgling sounds cool, will have to keep that in mind. Thanks I thought about using banner poles but how to get them to line up for two handed carry without the other hand looking retarded... I'm trying an experiment with brass rod now that Might work... but still requires drilling holes through hands... With the Great Weapons, both hands are already hold a long pole shaft so it wont look bad... If anyone knows a way to drill out hands and use brassrodding that doesnt look aweful, please let me know. Thanks. |

The great weapons are held at an angle, and you'd still need to pin them to the ark. |
