To be honest I never liked the Hellcannon model, but it seems that its about time I get around to fielding one in 8th ed. However, given my dislike for the original model, do you guys have any suggestions on a conversion I could use to represent one, while still being tourney-legal? Thanks! |

I've seem people using parts of the defiler kit from 40k. Also, iirc, Avian made a pretty cool custom Hellcannon. As for being tournament legal, as long as you keep it roughly the same size I don't think anyone will complain. Edit: Yup, here's the thread http://z4.invisionfree.com/cotec/index.php...pic=4504&st=315 and the Hellcannon is on pages 21 and 22 and the pages right before those covers the building of it. |

What is the official base size of the Hellcannon? 50x50mm? |

According to GW, none at all, but ETC have established 80x100 for their tournaments so that's the closest thing to a standard base size. It is a monster so in theory, it should be on a 50x50 or 50x100, but it cannot possibly fit on any of those and GW say that you should use the supplied base for all their minis and since the Hellcannon does not have a base, none is used by default. |

80x100 is *pretty* big...... I have a Juggernaut lying around doing nothing, I might make something out of that. Man, if this were 40k I'd just strap a big gun on to that and call it a day, haha |

Thanks for the link to Avians thread. I just started work on my hellcannon as well, heavily inspired by Avians. http://z4.invisionfree.com/cotec/index.php...5&#entry5454388 |

Well... why don't you? It's not like the Chaos Dwarves haven't tried crazy poo-poo before. Make something that looks like a reasonably arcane cannon and "weld" (GS) it to the back of the juggernaut. Khorne demons are crazy enough as it is and a juggernaut would definitely be pissed if it had a cannon welded to its back which would explain the other freaky stuff that might happen with a Hellcannon. Arrange the dwarves so that they hold on to chains to restrain the beast. |
