Hellcannon - not so much use as most of woodies units are skirmishing and mostly in small numbers which makes the template less effective. Furthermore even a medicore shooting phase from woodies may cause your HC to loose it's handlers. Knights - If your opponent knows the bow of loren and those "no armour saves" arrows combo then expect 4 or 5 2+, 4+ wounding shooting attacks every turn which will end up with one of your knights unit's being obliterated or two smaller units hitting home, but only if he takes a lord. Warriors - One of these has to have that fire attacks banner for eventual treekin/treeman hunting. Otherwise this unit is a must have in every WOC army now. Frezied Lord - now you can mittigate the frenzy effect by a succesfull LD roll but you will be testing every time when there's a unit within 19 inches of your's lord charge arc which may end up with him picking up a fight that may not be on his terms. Did i mention that Bow of Loren combo which may kill him outright with a bit of luck, or even without with augumented strenght and number of attacks from those new shiny lores? BSB - a must have, that's to it. Sorcerers - what lores are you planning to use? I would leave one knight unit and in it's place put some marauders on foot with GW. Of course they die in dozens but for a cost of a fully equiped knight unit you should have enough of them to do the job. I'm not sure about the hellcannon also, it's role as an artilery piece will be decreased because of the nature of the WE army, and thanks to stepping up/supportive attacks it's not as hard to kill as it was previously in combat. |

I put in the hellcanon as it can be used against glade guards and treeman, even if i lose my crew its always fun to have it attack an enemy unit. the knights are there to draw fire from my warriors and can quickly get to those archers and dryads, I'll put one with the blasted banner and use the rest of the point for marauders. i have a khorne warrior unit with the fire standard and a nurgle warrior unit with the rage banner, 15 each i have the ward save 4+ against shooting on my lord so he should survive. |

Bow of Loren is Str 3 so Warriors and Knights wounded on 5+. I wouldn't let it stop me from taking Knights. Guard your flanks, but keep advancing and absolutely do NOT go in any woods. Tzeentch Warriors w/hand weapon & shield will smoke anything not called a Treekin or Treeman. Khorne Warriors w/halberds are good versus the big boys. |

Dracos is right, Bow of Loren isn't the users S anymore, just the same amount of arrows as attacks, so it would be wounding on 5+, still nasty but not all that worrying on T4 or T5 models. Just make sure to get the fire banner, & perhaps change a unit of knights for marauders (always useful), some dogs can be good with lots of frenzied troops, other than that I think this list should do fine as long as you know what you're doing. |
