I have used Khorne marauder hordes, 2 times with Flails and once with Great weapons. Every time they have been wiped out with ease, twice against Dark Elves and once against undead. I'm borderline fed up and looking into replacing them with khorne warrirors. Are they REALLY that good? They have been nothing but a liability to me, and it seems fate is trying to tell me not to take them. |

I'm running the following at the moment (1250 pts): Festus plus 17 Warriors of Nurgle, FC, Blasted Standard 25 Khorne Marauders, Muso, Std, GW 25 Khorne Marauders, Muso, Std, GW Undivided Chariot Hellcannon The warriors go hard but the Marauders obviosly aint as tough. With some Hellcannon assist, they seem to get across the table and annoy weaker enemy units whislt the Nurgle blender carves creme units up. However, I reckon HW&S Tzeentch marauders in a horde might be a better pick. The day of the Marauder aint over yet. |

Oh, I know. Until I figure a way in which Marauders won't suck for me I may just stick to warriors for a tad longer. They great fodder if you can afford such a point sink. |

I'm not a huge fan of marauders in general. They are free combat res. for your opponent. I think the only way they are good is if you take like 50 of them in one unit. Even then, you need to support them quickly. Warriors are the better bet IMO. |

I run 2x 25 blocks of nurgle marauders with hw/s and LA. Against Dark Elves and High Elves (my usual opponents) the nurgle marauders always reach combat with at least 3 ranks left, and then survive 2-3 rounds of combat against even the heaviest tooled up unit that could be thrown at them. And since wounds are removed from the back, they always strike back. 2 turns of 2 ranks attacking back, plus any magical buffs the lore of Heavens gives out, causes enough wounds that i've never had to consider taking flails or Khorne. I used khorne marauders once...but after they were completely wiped out in the first turn of shooting nurgle has been my mark of choice ^^ |

Typically, I bring them along with Wulfrik. You need to hope that they come on the same time as your line hits his, because otherwise, they'll simply turn around, take the charge, annihilate them and turn back towards you with their free reform. |
