Hi everyone, after some absence from Fantasy i decided that with 7th out the window i'll be getting back to Fantasy and will be attending a tournament sometime in october (i attended the same tournament a year ago with an all frenzied Warrior/Knight army). This year i thought i'd be going with some more magic than last time so here is my WIP tournament list. -Sorcerer lvl 4 (410pts) MoT Golden Eye Enchanted Shield Ruby Ring of Ruin Infernal Puppet Disc -Sorcerer lvl 2 (185pts) MoT Dispell Scroll Spellshield -Exalted BSB (194pts) MoT Shield Halberd Blasted Standard -18x Warriors (411pts) MoT Command Halberds Shields Banner of Rage -18x Warriors (391pts) MoK Command Halberds Shields Razor Standard -5x Warhounds (30pts) -5x Warhounds (30pts) -3x Chaos Trolls (135pts) -Hellcannon (205pts) Total: 1991pts So ive got about 9pts to play around with atm unless i drop something. Advice and Comments are welcome |

The points for Rage Banner on the unit might be a waste , with MoT and shield you can have a 5+ ward save on the unit , frenzy will negate +1 of it. The hellcannon is nice but it wont be much use when you are in hth , it cant run down a fleeing unit , it can't make a flank or rear attack. Warhounds arent real useful a marauder cavalry might be better also you might want to get a cavalry unit , just to run down a fleeing unit to finish off any survivors. |

I won't get that parry anyway since they are equipped with halberds, the shields are just there to protect them from shooting. The hellcannon im quite unsure of as we speak, but i don't know what else i should take. With the new rules for warmachines etc it can be pretty nasty in conjunction with Pandemonium. The warhounds have done their work in the two practice games ive run, just run forward and get shot, and in the game where they didn't get shot they took a warmachine. Ye so ive run two test games with this list and ive won both but my opponents wasn't that good tbh. My conclusion of the units were: Lvl 4: Where a constant threat to both armies, zoomed around dishing out pain in the magicphase. Lvl 2: Gated a big unit of boyz and just threw whatever spell the lvl 4 didn't have MoT Warriors: Soaked up som fire with the BSB in the unit and destroyed a block of 30ish Dwarf warriors MoK Warriors: Butchered everything, including a unit of Warriors with Bugman, a runelord and a thane. Hounds: Shot to death both games, which is their job =) Trolls: Where shot at, regen and got stronger and stronger as the games went on Hellcannon: Unsure about this unit atm, Rampaged around killing a total of 10 spider riders, a few boyz and the occasional dwarf. So what could i chuck in instead of the Hellcannon? |

So i played My third game with this list today against My friends ogre kingdom tournament list... Got My ass handed to me tbh. A run down of his list (roughly) Tyrant: with the weird save and a weapon that hurt. Butcher: Misscast on double one and two? Bruiser: BSB 25x Gnoblars 25x Gnoblars 3x Bulls 2x Giants Andthe rest of his points consisted of ironguts in a massive units, so basically a deathstar. A rundown of how My units performed. Sorcerer lvl4: this guy did great, gated the deathstar twice 11 hits str 10(!) as à best result. Sorcerer lvl2: nothing special but had the crappy spells, killed an irongut and some gnoblars. BSB: Nothing special, did his job. Tzeentch warriors: got charged by the deathstar and killed à 3-4 ironguts and got obliterated in return. Khorne warriors: went through 25 gnoblars, 3 bulls with ease, got charged by the deathstar in the end and wasted some ironguts before being killed. Warhounds: Meh!! Not much they can do against a beefed up deathstar. Trolls: waste of points, charged à giant and died by turn 4. Hellcannon: rampaged turn one, fired to shots at the deathstar and missed, got charged by the other giant and died. So there you have it, nothing i could have done differently tbh except avoid his deathstar but since we had hidden deployment that wasn't really something i could do. So now please rip My list apart, ive been consisering beefing up the tzeentch warriors and give them shields and raptorous standard. But idk. So go ahead give me your inputs :) |

Drop the halberds off the Tzeentch warriors dont give up the 5+ parry save. Grow the unit to 24 instead of 18 Drop the war hounds and the lv2 should give you enough points to buff the warriors to 24. Increase the Trolls to 6 they do much better that way |

Hmm not a bad idea tbh, nut i kinda want the general in my lines to help the trolls out, they won't do much at their ld4 otherwise ;P Ok here is a revised list, gonna try it out tomorrow vs Dwarfs and O&G. -Sorcerer Lord (420 pts) Mark of Tzeentch; Level 4; Disc of Tzeentch Enchanted Shield Blood of Tzeentch Talisman of Preservation Bloodcurdling Roar -Sorcerer (140 pts) Dispel Scroll Third Eye of Tzeentch Charmed Shield Lore of Death -Exalted Hero (190 pts) Mark of Tzeentch Shield Battle Standard Bearer Blasted Standard -18x Chaos Warriors (411 pts) Command Mark of Khorne Halberds Shields Razor Standard -24x Chaos Warriors (454 pts) Command Mark of Tzeentch Shields Raptorous Standard -4x Chaos Trolls (180 pts) -Hellcannon (205 pts) Total Roster Cost: 2000 pts The Khorne Warriors goes 6x3 The Tzeentch Warriors goes 5x5 alternatively 6x4 if i face something squishy :P Other suggestions to how i should rank the units up? |
