I ran this guy in a 3k game. Daemon prince Tzeentch +4 Ward save Fury of the Blood God +2 ward vs. spells Mantle of Chaos -d3 str vs. any ranged shooting attack I ran around the battle field with near impunity vs ranged and magic my opponent learned quickly not too shoot him while I ate his 2 warp lightning canons then warpfire thrower. He closed with his Abom and that was the end of the prince. He didn't earn his points back not even close. He may have faired better agains say Dwarfs or Empire. Even in a 3k list i just don't see a use for a Daemon Prince and that blows cuse I love the model. How would you kit and use your Daemon Prince? |

He is better in a lower point game. At 3k anyone can take 2 lords (except demons) The DP is too many points to fit another Lord into 750. I think the only useful way to use a DP is to make him a lv4 however. So at lower point games you can have a powerful fighty character and a lv4 caster. If you dont mark him give him Death lore move him to the flanks and purple sun the crap outta people. I dont know if its effective or not though just theory crafting at this point. |

My Daemon Prince just earned his points back and then some earlier today, in fact. Death is the best Lore for a Daemon Prince. You can get really close for character sniping and stat modding. My warriors were fighting Saurus. It would have been a relatively tough slug fest, until my Daemon Prince made the Saurus toughness 3. Halberds then ensued. The unit was gone by next turn. He purple sunned Lord Mazdumundi and his beloved Stegadon, Slag. Both gone in one magic phase. I run him with Tendrils of Tzeentch (didn't do a LOT, but was definitely helpful), conjoined homunculus (never again) and Stream of Corruption (I forgot about it :/). Level 4, Death, unmarked. |

3rd Eye is still my favorite caster gift. The look on your opponents face when you tell them you are going to use his own spells against him is classic. |
